“Marielor is the nicest of hosts and it was great to meet her. Her house is beautifully renovated with bags of French style Really lovely everywhere. Bathroom is immaculate, the bed very comfortable. Quiet surroundings and a night well spent. The breakfast has been previously reviewed. Go easy on supper and enjoy the breakfast. Homemade: Baguette, strawberry jam, rhubard jam, plumb jam, crepes and cake. Honey from their hives. Plus the usual fruit and juices, eggs, tea and coffee etc etc. No……

“Fantastic location with wonderful views. The restaurant is exceptionally good but pricey, you get what you pay for. Excellent staff, especially the waitress, a student in hospitality management, very welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Excellent breakfast, everything homemade or local and of superb quality. Comfortable room, good balcony, very clean. A few little niggles in the room, the light over the shower didn't work, the shampoo dispenser in the shower had not been topped up, the headboard……

“It was very hot in our room as France was experiencing unusually high temperatures and we just had a quilt on the bed, no sheet to used instead of a quilt and no fan or air con.”

“Really great location to centre of town, 7 minute walk only. Loads of parking. Superior room with lovely large sunny balcony was great. Kettle provided with tea and coffee and bottles of water. Probably could do with a safe, fridge and air con for the sunny months. Indoor pool and outdoor hot tub not used by us but look modern. A little bar would be a delight for drinks on the patio or in the garden.”

“I had eaten at this hotel a couple of times and having enjoyed the food and liked the traditional decor asked at reception if a lift went to all the bedrooms as I have mobility issues and don’t cope well with stairs and was told “ yes we have a lift to all floors”. We therefore booked a room at this hotel in our next visit to the area. Upon checking we were told our room was on the 4th floor and that the lift only went to the 3rd floor then it was 4 steps to the 4th floor room so we went up……
