“Had a lovely stay at Pengelly Farmhouse. A beautiful properly, spotlessly clean and lovely thoughtful touches. Homemade biscuits were lovely and even some treats for our dog. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and perfectly cooked! We will most definitely be back again, thank you!”

“There are two Plume of Feathers in Cornwall. If you search for the one in Portscatho on Google this one is likely to show up and I made the mistake in booking it. When I contacted them once I had realised my error they said it was not up to them to refund but Expedia - who I contacted. They were helpful and sympathetic - but they said it was actually at the discretion of the host who they contacted on my behalf but they declined my request. I again contacted the PoF to ask them to reconsider...

“I don't think I've ever been made to feel so unwelcome at a hotel or B'n'B. We were using public transport. We were dropped off by taxi at 10am. Obviously we weren't expecting to check in but I've never stayed anywhere where luggage storage isn't available. The owner's immediate reaction was to tell us we check in isn't until 2. She did allow us to leave the luggage but I was taken aback at the unwelcoming attitude. We came back at 2. Owner complained that she had no details about the booking....

“Property okay- adequate for a short stay. In need of a bit of TLC. Room clean and spacious enough. Tea/coffee and small fridge. Swimming pool onsite which we used a lot due to heat! Also in need of TLC but large enough to cool off and enjoy. Fan only in room. No air conditioning. Staff friendly and helpful. Walkable but not a lot to see- we drove to beach etc. co-op and a couple of choices to eat. Restaurant onsite. Fairly quiet area though near a main lane/road. Plenty of car parking which...

Very disappointed that they had a special curry and pint offer where you couldn't have and alternative drink and when we ordered the curry anyway we were charged £20 without the beer wheras it was £15 with the beer!”

It has it's own car park, and although it doesn't have a 24/7 reception, it'll provide you with a code to get back into the hotel if you go out. “We loved The Nici hotel i Newquay! The staf was amazing, clean and nice room, and the location was perfect. The hotel had only been open for a month when er were there, so the pool was not ready yet. But we got a free massage and the kids could have a free surfinglesson if they had wanted to. It is close to everything in town, so we walked everywhere. We really liked this hotell, and would stay there again if we're coming back to Newquay!”
