“I absolutely recommend you stay at the El Moore Lodge when traveling to Detroit. The building has all the modern amenities, but still has the historic charm/feel you want. The staff is very friendly, tons of places close by you can walk to for food and drinks, and superb coffee every morning for you to enjoy.”

“The Cochrane Inn is run by a pair of wonderful sisters, Rica and Winky. I arrived at the Inn way ahead of the check-in time and was exhausted due to the longhaul flight. They offered me complimentary breakfast and accompanied me while I was waiting in the lobby. The room was clean and comfortable. This was my first time being able to fall asleep on a hotel bed without the help of melatonin pills! The Cochrane Inn is truly a magical house to me!  Thank you for the awesome stay once again, Rica……

“So, in honesty, I booked this not knowing it was a bed and breakfast… BUT it turned out to be wonderful. It is called “The Sanctuary” for good reason. Dora and Ed are wonder hosts who definitely went above and beyond for our meager overnight stay. The room was clean, the property was so peaceful. Helped my wife and I start out with a slow relaxing morning before making our way to downtown Detroit. Can’t recommend this enough to people who don’t mind a bed and breakfast. If/when we come back to……
