“Hotels well worth the price and made for an excellent stay. The hotel is located within a few miles of the Baseball Hall of Fame and is centrally located near the best restaurants in Cooperstown. The hotel exterior is being painted, so our hotel room window was covered on the outside, but it certainly did not make the room any less comfortable. We did use the pool and gym which is adequate for an overnight stay, but both are small and crowded when anyone else is in there. Again, not a deal……

“Price quoted was not the price owner tried to charged. Coffeemaker provided with no coffee or filters, no cups. Towels were forgotten to be put in room. Heat, clock, and fridge were unplugged. Was questioned as to why I turned the heat on in the room. Advertises breakfast/ snack Cafe on premises not operational. No restaurants or stores nearby. Room was clean and spacious and quiet. Bed was comfortable and clean.”

Staff was very accommodating and supportive but I had issues with the WiFi, the size of the shower and unpredictability of hot water, and the fact that the bathroom window is directly across from the shower. Normally, the final point wouldn’t be an issue but the blinds didn’t go all the way down so I felt a bit exposed. I stayed in Room 3. I did not eat at the restaurant but their menu was extensive and they were willing to work with my dietary……

“Problems started as soon as I arrived. I booked 2 fully paid rooms for my party, though the front desk “only saw” one room reserved. When I corrected her, she realized she overlooked the second room. Fine. The hold on the room for incidentals was $100; in this part of NY it’s usually $25, so that was a little unsettling. Also it took 3 days for the motel to remove the hold. But the worst is the actual hotel. Leaks everywhere with large garbage containers catching the water. Signs everywhere……

“The staff was very helpful . Our GPS stopped working and a staff member went on her computer to print out mapquest directions for us . On the negative side, the TV screen was blown so TV did NOT work . I reported this to staff at check in . We were not planning on watching TV so that was not a big deal . There was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door , so the cleaning staff missed that one . Other than that , we were satisfied with our stay .”
