Lanzarote Pet-friendly Vacations

Our second stay at Los Zocos (5-12 July) following a trip there in Feb of this year. It was much busier this time compared to February. The only downside was the race to get a parasol in the morning. One family was getting up at 5:30 to secure theirs and we ended up having to get up between 6:00-6:30 to find a decent spot. It was hot so we needed a parasol to stay by the main pool all day. The quiet pool is less busy though. That was the only negative. LOCATION Just amazing. A couple of minutes walk to the beach with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Costa Teguise is relatively flat so good for long walks. APARTMENTS We stayed in Block C this time and loved it there. Our balcony overlooked the quiet pool and was shaded in the afternoon with a lovely breeze. The beds are very comfortable, it's clean, quiet and perfect for us. FOOD Great choice with something for everyone. Proper bacon in the mornings is a bonus. Lots of chicken, meats, fish, pasta, chips, veg etc. Snack bar does lovely food - paella, pasta, burgers, hotdogs, chips... DRINKS Standard local booze, slush, tea/coffee. All pretty standard across AI. STAFF This is where Zocos excels - the staff are all AMAZING! I wish I had more space but they are all so friendly and helpful. Special mention to the lady in the restaurant who always found me a nice cool table under the AC and Alejandro in the Galleon bar - what a couple of legends! There are loads of activities throughout the day and evening with the team.

Been so many times. The hotel has now changed what you get for All Inclusive so that was disappointing as we hadn’t been informed. Couple of issues this time .

We really liked our two weeks at the hotel. my wife and I. I was however more than slightly unhappy by the lack of heating in the pools, which I reported through Expedia as well as not being offered a VIP upgrade or a few hours late checkout. The hotel guest services came back to me within hours and while it didn't make the pools warmer it did make us feel hugely better. Part of the remedy included the later checkout. I have to say the hotel restaurants have a have fantastically extensive menus with dishes which are genuinely fresh and well prepared. With staff who were always polite and flawless in their services. Added to which the hotel IT system clearly worked very well as the staff at a restaurant or bar would ask how was such a thing we had asked about relating to our minibar for example. It made us feel that what we said mattered and was being taken seriously. The other thing to keep in mind is that the hotel offers a really extensive range of activities which you need to log onto the app to know about. These including but not limited to, shooting, archery, cooking, mixing drinks, tennis. The list really is long. This was the first time we have stayed at a Secrets hotel, and we think it may not be our last. I would certainly recommend the Lanzarote Secrets.

Superb hotel, great location and facilities. I used to look a cheap AI hotel only to be disappointed. Food is excellent with lots of quality choices. Staff are amazing and all work extremely hard. Manuel outstanding in the restaurant 😊
