This is a charming setting if not in the center of the old town. You cannot beat the views. The staff at the front desk were helpful. One even printed out our train tickets and delivered them to us in the bar.

Very nice hotel. Well situated in Lucern. I have it a generous 4/5. It slightly missed the mark in customer service; I took my wife for a big birthday and requested making it extra special. The hotel did not accommodate or ask me what I would like. This is a first, as we have arrived in rooms to find a birthday cake or a nice personal message at the very least. Also, there were a pair of boots in the wardrobe of the room when we checked in. I took these to reception, where they apologised. Did make me question how well the room was checked and cleaned.

The concierge staff and housekeeping staff were exceptional. However, when we attempted to eat at the Juliett restaurant, we sat at our table for 20 or 25 minutes without even being offered a glass of water. As a result, we looked for meals outside of the hotel, which we would not have done otherwise.
