Tennessee Ski Vacations

Lovely balcony with a view on the babbling river behind- you forget about the chaos of the main road for sure (we even saw a bear!)! Overall the property and room was very nice, high end finishes and nice touches throughout, such as a welcome note and a bottle of wine. That said, for a hotel marketed as a luxury (and Michelin) hotel, a few things didn’t meet our expectations, including an overwhelming smell of bleach/chlorine when we first entered the room (likely from cleaning the bathroom as it was all still wet on the floor), the shower was not clean and the door didn’t close, the air conditioner was SUPER loud, and the coffee maker did not work… these are the little things that make the difference between a luxurious hotel and a mediocre one, so I was a bit disappointed.

I booked this hotel because it had a balcony. I didn’t care if the balcony had a city view or a mountain view. Our balcony had neither. There was a wall right in front of the balcony with barely any sunlight coming through. Very disappointing!

Good property

Great location. Great staff. Needs to be updated some. Bathrooms are great and updated but carpeting is very old. Both doors to outside could be changed. Very weak and I had bear claws on balcony door and that door was thin. My front door weather stripping was missing and 4am heard bear sniffing at door. Breakfast...we felt wad weak. We choose to eat elsewhere. But good price for location. Just needs updating.
