“Thanks Ray and the team, for a lovely stay. Hotel/pub was located in centre of Axbridge, just around the corner from a free 48hrs car park and handy for getting around to surrounding areas like cheddar gorge etc. Room was a lot more spacious than we anticipated, it was spotless, with daily change of towels and top ups to tea and coffee facilities. Staff were really nice and accomodating and it was nice to meet some of the locals too in what seems like a really friendly little community.……
“can not fault the stay .. super clean .. super friendly .. great breakfast pub across the road is spot on .. the only problem was I didn't book a longer stay
thanks for the stay highly recommend”
“From the outside it looked very run down but the reception bar, dining rooms were lovely and the view outside was stunning!
The down fall is the noise from the motorway we had very poor sleep! We had a standard room which I thought would have been bigger than the cosy but our room was small but clean. The lack of sleep spoilt it for us. The leisure facilities were lovely and our evening meal. We had a full English breakfast which was good.”
“What a delightful little find! Absolutely stunning grounds, good parking, easy to find, beautifully clean room and delicious smelling restaurant. Lovely outdoor seating as well. The staff were professional and helpful, we didn't get a chance to eat there, but the menu looked gorgeous. We will definitely stay here again when we use Bristol Airport.”
“Lovely place to stay. We stayed here as we were visiting Cheddar Gouge. Friendly staff and nice pub downstairs. Big family room and massive bathroom. Everywhere was clean and and well decorated. Nice breakfast included. Highly recommend.”
“Sam, the general manager greeted us warmly on arrival, was very helpful, friendly and professional.
Our courtyard room was clean and comfortable with a garden table just outside the door.
Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Dinner and breakfast were both plentiful and delicious.
Highly recommended for a stay in the Mendips with dogs.”
“Room was great, clean and comfortable.
Bar staff unfortunately didn't seem to know what they were doing and we were overcharged but staff on front desk were very helpful
Breakfast was good for most of our party but not much for a dairy intolerance.
Games room was a pound for each game.
Great and convenient that it is right next to The Wookey caves.”
“A very nice hotel, the rooms at the rear of the hotel were former farm buildings which have been completely renovated. There is a wet room ensuite which is well appointed. The restaurant has a good choice of food which is excellently cooked and presented. The breakfast menu which has to be ordered the evening before was slightly confusing until I worked out that the price stays the same and you just tick your personal choices. Well sited and only 6 minutes from the Bristol Airport Silver Zone……
“The staff were friendly, fun and efficient. A disabled parking space was close by for my husband and the ground floor bedroom exceptionally well accommodated and comfortable along with a wet room!
The bar was fun, friendly and busy with excellent menu, great service and atmosphere.
A local group of friends informally got together with instruments and voices. Much enjoyed.
Highly recommended”
