The inside was very clean & the cabin was the perfect size for two. There was trash left in the fire pit outside from the previous people that wasn’t removed, but other than that the property outside was clean as well. Only real issues I really had were communication about check in & actually locating the cabin. I got a confirmation email after I booked which gave me the check in/check out time & the address to the cabin. There was no info on what to do once I got there, so I messaged the day before to see what I needed to do & never got a response. I had to call & speak to someone once I got there to get a code to get into the cabin, the woman on the phone was very nice though & got me the code quickly. Getting to the cabin though was a whole other issue. I put in the address that was given to me in the email & it took me to an empty lot on that road. After driving back the other direction to make sure I didn’t miss it, I turned back around & continued down the road. The cabin was probably a half mile further down that road & down a little gravel road on the left. This was using Apple Maps, not sure how it shows up on Google maps. Not the host’s fault but just something to point out for people to be aware of. I was also looking for a sign or something with “Avenwood” on it, since this is how it’s listen online. But it is actually marked as “Colonel’s Quarters” which threw me off. There was a lot that we had to figure out ourselves, the hot tub was warm all night not necessarily hot until the morning. The area around the fire pit was not kept up with at all, I thought we were going to be more isolated but we weren’t. I don’t think this was worth what we paid for at all, I could get camper and go camping for much cheaper than what we paid for. The cabin is very cute and clean. We had a short delay in getting in contact with the owner for the appropriate key code, but VRBO assisted with that. The cabin is about 25-30 minutes away from a lot of the main site seeing activities but we did not mind the drive.
