A beautifully decorated ranch on a large lot with 3 spacious bedrooms that sleeps 6 people, 2.5 baths, living room, dining room, large family room with gas fire place, office, updated kitchen, and lovely patio right off the kitchen and family room for outside dining. The home sits on a corner lot which is just minutes away from downtown Lake Forest shopping, Lakefront Beach, and Metra Train to downtown Chicago. The open floor plan allows you to relax and enjoy the mounted flat screen television from the kitchen or family room. The master bedroom has a sitting area, work space desk and flat screen television. Other flat screen televisions are throughout the house, central air, and wifi. The master bedroom bathroom has double sinks, a separate shower, and huge soaking tub. The entire house is exceptionally clean and extremely well maintained.

This was our first time using vrbo. As a family of 5, hotels are not a great fit. We end up needing 2 rooms which is next to impossible to find conjoining rooms, and is quite expensive! We decided to rent this beautiful 3 bedroom house. Not only was it clean, it was clearly well cared for. Location was great as we did not want to be in the “big city” of Chicago but close enough we can make a day trip to the city and surrounding areas. We did not have much communication with the host, but that was because we did not need to. He responded promptly when I had a question about check in the day before our trip and had a nice print out of the expectations, “rules”, and check out procedures. My family had a great trip and staying in this home was perfect! Also, a great price compared to any hotel within an hour in any direction.

Convenient Location
The house was very conveniently located for a reunion weekend at Lake Forest College. It also very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The traffic noise from nearby Sheridan Road was the only issue for a light sleeper like me, but overall I would highly recommend this as an accommodation.

Lovely, spacious home in beautiful community close to Lake Michigan beach
Unfortunately, our (2 night) weekend reservation was overlooked and thought to be included with the prior weekday reservation and the house was not ready for our check-in. However, the owner quickly responded and cleaned the home for our stay. The house is lovely and very spacious. The front dining room and formal living room are beautiful, but we did not even use these. The kitchen is nice and updated, however, not well stocked with a set of cookware, cooking utensils, or bake ware. We were visiting our college student and having 1 pot and fry pan made it challenging to make a couple of home cooked meals. Many odd items in drawers and not enough basic necessities. If cooking is not a priority, then it shouldn't be an issue. There were no napkins, and we ran out of the half roll of paper towels quickly, and kitchen towels were sparse. Found coffee pot in pantry and enough coffee for 1/2 pot. If you intend to cook or have morning coffee, then bring what you need. Comfy beds, and overall a nice home in a great location.

Beautiful home
I will say, the pictures don’t do this house justice. It’s such a beautiful, well kept home while also feeling very homey and cozy. The backyard space was wonderful as well. A couple of us got day passes for the local athletic center a couple miles away, and there’s a great running path close by as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and Shawn was a very communicative and welcoming host. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Home with Great Location
The layout of the home is perfect for a family getaway. The living room is sunny and removed from the family room which has a lovely gas fireplace. The home was very clean, and checkin easy. Beware though, the kitchen is not nicely stocked. The owner should add: spatulas, ladles, a good large frying pan, 9x13 pan, 8x8 pan, cookie sheets not rusted, and enough silver ware for at least 6 people (we only had 5 forks!). Shawn apologized for the shortage, however, if the kitchen were a priority, we would have had enough utensils at the get go. I rated it 5 stars, because it was a lovely home with small changes needed in the kitchen.

Chicago Girls Weekend
This house was perfect to come back and relax in after a busy day touring downtown Chicago. Lake Forest is such a peaceful quaint town. The property is close to the train station, shops and restuarants in Lake Forest. Definitely will stay here again!
