We should mention
Great view, cabin needs major work done!!
View was great, but that's about it. Hot tub use to be on the deck. The deck needs replaced so they took the hot tub and put it beside the house with no privacy now. People driving down the road can now look down in the hot tub and see you. Not only that, the hot tub is right next to the cabin wall and the bedroom is next to it. Needless to say it's hard to sleep hearing it running just outside the bedroom wall by the headboard. The concrete work that they did was done by amateurs. The concrete was not edged when poured and now has sharp edges that can cut your bare feet going to the hot tub. Mice were in the cabin, mold on the shower walls since the grout is mostly gone in the shower around the tiles. The deck needs to be replaced in a bad way!! Nails and screws were sticking up a half an inch which cut my foot the first time I went out there with no shoes on. Dont lean on the deck rails!! They been repaired several times which didn't help. There was about 2 dozen or more shingles missing from the roof and showing plywood. The trim inside should have been painted 10 years ago. Its obvious to me since I'm a contractor of 27 years that they hire the cheapest contractors to fix anything or to do repairs needed if they do anything at all. They do spot painting instead of painting everything and the colors don't match. The cabin currently needs about $15-20k worth of repairs at a minimum to make it a decent place to stay!! The pictures on the website makes the cabin look good. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 5 at best. We have stayed in numerous cabins all over the United States and this was the worse one by far!! There has been minimal effort to keep this cabin up to standard!! There are a lot of newer and nicer ones in the area to chose from!! I wish I could give a better review, unfortunately I'm telling exactly what we had to live in for a week.
