We were unable to travel to that side of the country because of flooding, and mudslides. There was no way for us to get there. The best we were offered was a two night stay refund. Even though it was completely out of our control, and there was no possible way to get to the hotel. So we were out approximately $1600.
I would think in that case, we should be refunded for the entire stay because there was no way to travel there. Very, very disappointed.

The house was in great condition, kitchen had plenty of plates, cups, pots and pans, utensils, rice cooker, everything. Pool was clean and refreshing. Lots of room for the family for a few days.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Aguas Claras in Costa Rica. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect. The beach nearby was beautiful, peaceful, and great for relaxing. Everything about the experience felt special and authentic. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Caribbean side of Costa Rica!

Lovely, family owned property. The only thing that would have been helpful would be to have more room amenities such as mini fridge, microwave, hangers, more towels… etc.
Property is clean, close to everything in Puerto Viejo, within walking distance to the beach, has a good breakfast, and staff is very friendly.
