Staff not very helpful. Common courtesy to offer help when seeing guests struggling with their luggage. 4 or 5 staff just standing there at reception area staring at you as you make your way up. Not what I experience at other hotels.

Clean, spacious and modern.

Clean. Great staff. A little bit loud.

The hotel rest room on the main lobby was not clean. Paper on the floor, dirty toilets and sinks. Zoe's Bar had very slow service. It took ten minutes to get seated in the lounge. Another ten minutes for a server to get our order. And a full half an hour to get our cocktails and appetizers. The hotel room in general needs an update. The fixtures in the bathroom are coming away from the wall and sink. The shower has very poor temperature controls. The windows are filthy. The blinds are either up or down. There are no privacy shears which could give added protection from the building across the street. Overall, I felt that this hotel is not up to the standard of other Fairmonts that I have visited in Banff and Toronto,

Our room was a bit dated but clean and well situated downtown Ottawa. I really enjoyed the large bathtub with whirlpool. We really like the full kitchen but there was no pucks for the dishwasher.The TV didnt have a guide and it was very impractical to watch something on TV. The plugs are old and loose , when you plug a phone charger it easily falls out and no USB plugs. The room has very good acoustic insolation. We didnt hear any or our neighbours.
