"Absolutely loved this beautiful restored old world home! We could walk around and look at the amazing Victorian interior and furnishings for days. Peter was an amazing host and we hope to come back to visit some day. "

"We stayed in the large suite. It was perfect! 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, directly kitty corner to the Nauvoo Temple! Temple within full view from the balcony and bedroom windows. The decor was designed to be period appropriate but with modern comforts. The beds were so comfortable, the towels were soft and fluffy, and lots of room to spread out. The only issue was the check-in. We were there in the off season and when asked about places to eat, we were told only places 20-30 mins away when there was an open restaurant less than a block away. The Red Front had delicious food! The front desk also said they couldn’t approve a late checkout and I would have to call back in the morning to speak with a manager. Just not helpful and wrong information. Messaged the phone number posted in the room and got the late checkout without issue. With so many people coming in from out of town, it would be more helpful to have someone more informed and willing to help as the face of your business. Thank goodness the room more than made up for that experience!"
"I read the reviews of others and here's my experience. I did not have any bad smells and my son (who is allergic to cats) did not have any allergy issues. It is obviously an older property, so it's not a modern, freshly painted environment. Things are obviously used, but the renters have done a good job making the space usable and feel "homey". I am pretty easy to please, not a diva so the little grandma type accents I looked at as sweet and quaint. We loved that the dollar general was right behind the house, and we could walk over to Casey's and buy a drink! I'd stay there again, it was comfortable for us and I was grateful to have somewhere to stay, so thank you! "
"It is an older home as indicated in the listing, but it was very clean and well maintained. The host did great communicating and helped with our unique accommodations. The home is within walking distance to the temple, downtown, and the few restaurants that are in Nauvoo. The home also had a great history and story that was hanging on the wall which really made the stay extra special knowing what role it played in the history of Nauvoo."
