Plattsburg was central to all the areas i traveled to for hiking and waterfalls. One really unexpected waterfall, Highfalls, it was a great little hike no really far but the falls were accessible.

When we checked in there was no carts for luggage, the concierge did look for one but couldn’t find any. When we got to the roo it was freezing the temperature was set to 61 F we had to turn on the heat to get the room to a reasonable temperature. The floor in the shower was cracked and rocked when stepped on. I would not recommend this hotel.

Shower curtain in place of sliding door that I guess was broken.

Broken elevator the pool was unavailable for use also.

There was a storm in Plattsburgh and the parking spots and walkway leading up to the hotel were not plowed or shoveled. Very unsafe and disappointing to unload and walk through a foot or more of snow to get inside. Once inside the hotel was very clean and check in was quick, smooth and staff was very courteous.

The hotel was nice, rooms were clean and quiet. Almost all of the hallway light covers were torn and falling apart which was unattractive. The sheets were a bit scratchy, but the mattresses were comfortable. The breakfast was very nice.

We enjoy staying at a Fairfield Inn wherever we travel. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, breakfast is always acceptable, hot, and varied, and the parking and locations we need nearby are always within easy access. The only complaint we've ever had is a sometimes noisy HVAC in the room.

The hotel is tastefully decorated, the staff is very accommodating and congenial, and the rooms are comfortable. The only negative is the lack of daily housekeeping; you have to ask the front desk to empty the trash, etc. We stayed for 1 week and it seems the rooms are only cleaned and refreshed when the room is vacated.

Hardly any staff at the property. The breakfast was not attended by anyone. Saw a elderly couple that we're quite frustrated, with no food, ran out out of coffee, no service... woman at the front desk simply stated, no one was working.
