"We loved the view of the water. It was our first time on Herron Island. We enjoyed our walk to the mini lighthouse. It was a very relaxing weekend. Great collection of VHS movies. All of the drawers in the kitchen were labeled - easy to find everything we needed. "

"A forest oasis! Private , charming and a very walkable property near lots of trails and Penrose Park. We had cousins who all lived nearby so we were able to comfortably visit (5 of us) a couple of time. We will definitely return!"

"Our second time staying here was just as wonderful as the first. This time, we took our dog with us and it was so dog friendly with the gated porch for him to enjoy! Dale brought out a motor to attach to the row boat so we could go fishing which was great. We even saw some dolphins while we were out! We also went out kayaking later in the day. If you stay, you HAVE to try Carol’s clam chowder recipe in the binder. So delicious! "

"This was the perfect place for our annual family gathering - right on the water with enough different spaces for kids and adults to gather and enjoy each others' company in small groups or all together. Loved watching the ferry as well as looking for the seal that visited regularly."

"What a train wreck. This host destroyed our family trip. Took out money and then never responded. Disconnected his phone, padlock on gate to property. With the festival, there was no other properties available."

Unexpected yet amazing mattress in a pull out couch, that has an air mattress topper for amazing comfort and the best view.
