"Stunning property, let down by management and privacy issues. OKU Kos is beautiful. The 20m pool is spotless and great for fitness. However, our room's private pool lacked privacy; gaps in the walls allow neighbours to see right in, ruining any chance of skinny-dipping. The beach is stunning with comfy sunbeds, though it gets very windy.Food is a mixed bag. Breakfast is outstanding with perfect poached eggs, and the bar staff serve wonderful cocktails. However, the chef consistently overcooks fish. We had to send a tuna dish back, though they did compensate us with free drinks. Spa treatments are good, but note the hammam and sauna cost extra to turn on.Guest services need major improvement. First, the hotel tried to downgrade our room category pre-arrival, forcing a stressful 3-hour phone call with our travel agent to fix.Second, the Guest Services Manager ignored our pre-arrival emails and only said a brief hello on night three, seeming clueless about our profile.Third, swapping half-board dinner for lunch was a struggle, though a kind receptionist eventually helped us on our final day.Finally, for the World Cup semi-final, they just gave local suggestions instead of offering to make a booking for us. This is not luxury concierge service.It is still a great location for couples or groups, but do not expect true 5-star service."

The cleaning of the pool bar tables is very bad and also the cleaning of the rooms should be made every day instead of every 3 days."

"Hotel ideally placed for travel to kos town via a local bus service, facilities at hotel limited to the pool area, but did gave access to neighbouring hotels that were part of the same chain. Evening entertainment was hit and miss, some nights worked others didn't and you felt empty and left early. Reception staff a bit flippent about finding nearby places not realising tourists don't know the area, how are we expected to know how to get to places be humble and more polite. Buffet selection a bit predictable for meals after a few days didn't really push the boat out at weekends"

"Really comfortable beach cabanas free for hotel guests made this stuck out. Great room cleaning service too. Cleared the sand away everyday that we drug in. We went early season so they probably needed to hire a few more staff for the breakfast service but such a small complaint. "We in fact stayed for 7 nights due to booking confusion with change of airline flight date/time. Late arrival & check in but pleasent to find cooked food selection and drinks available even at 11:30pm in buffet restaurant. Positive start. Room 612 overlooking quiet swimming pool area away from main block. Rooms spacious , clean & amenities with mini bar filled daily. Hotel has lovely facilities, welcome & courteous staff across all areas , recep, dining, bar etc. Two theme restaurants, Italian in our opinion excellent, Meat disappointingly average. Main buffet excellent alround , breakfast, lunch & dinner. Bars offer pleasant cocktails which creates waits , spirits are ok but not full strength nor premium. Beer & wine ok. Hotel beach a big disappointment even with pitta gyros station & bar. Hotel is a good 45m-1 hr walk into Kos Town (well worth visiting). Hotel do provide a free cycle tour in once a week which was good. Walking round area not a lot to see other than wetlands area which we believe hosts flamingos but not when we visited. Overall the hotel is a big all inclusive perhaps more suited for families , entertainment and pool use given remoteness. It was getting busier as we left and can see how it becomes a churn but for us in early season was a welcome break. Nothing detrimental to say other than wouldn’t visit as a couple in height of season. "
