“Sligo was such a quiet and charming place. We enjoyed our time there. We stayed in Riverside Hotel for 1 night, the very spacious room, nice staff and delicious food gave us very good impression. The room was just face the river, which had amazing view. After checking out for days, we met some unhappy misunderstanding with the hotel, but finally the hotel management dealt with it effectively.”
“All the staff, in particular David, were incredibly helpful, professional & thoughtful. A minor personal crisis occurred and David could not have been more thoughtful & understanding. The hotel is perfectly located. The suite had everything we needed and the massive bed was super comfy. I cannot recommend this place enough.”
“Fairly convenient. But felt like I was staying at someone's home rather than a guest house if that makes sense - No signage out front or anything to identify it as a guest house. Mary was feiendly, front of house very clean. Bathroom looked amazing, but shower ran between scorching hot and freezing cold, very difficult to shower in.
Please buy new towels...the ones in the room once wet smelt terrible. I couldn't use them and had to put them in the closet overnight because the smell was……
“The kitchen was very nice. The staff were very helpful and gave us recommendations for laundry facilities and things to see. The bed was comfortable, the shower had great water pressure. The only thing we would change is having a better space to put our backpacks would have been appreciated.”
“Wifi is a bit slow. It is a beautiful golf course in Ireland. It is a great location for sea views and walking. It has a lots of facilities for families.”
“Rom was lovely and large. Staff that checked us in were great. Bar/restaurant staff a little less so. Wouldn't let us sit at a table to have a drink and think about ordering. Insisted we sit at the bar. I gave a sore knee and couldn't. So we had to sit outside. It's covered and warm but all the smokers go outside and that was yucky”
“Everything about this place is clean and tidy. My only complaint is that the room was small. No place to put a small weekend suitcase in the bedroom and the bathroom needs some small shelves for tooth paste ,razor, etc.
Just Continental breakfast was all that was available in the morning.”
“A fantastic place to stay. My elderly parents required an ensuite and this fitted the bill perfectly. Fresh flowers greeted us on the fining table. Great selection of leaflets showing you things to do in the west coast of Ireland. Would highly reccomend a visit to Parkes Castle followed by a boat ride on Lough Gill stopping at Dooley Park https://roseofinnisfree.com/ .
