Delightful villa in the Eastern Algarve set in it's own garden, with private salt water pool (no chlorine in the water), just a few minutes' walk from the beach and the village of Cabanas. Six splendid golf courses are also just a few kilometres away .

In the village of Cabanas you can find excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets and all you might need.

The villa is fully equipped and very comfortable. The ground floor comprises a large living-dining room which leads via two large patio doors to two large terraces one of which overlooks the private swimming pool set in a lawn garden with a BBQ. The terraces have sofas and dining furniture, perfect for al fresco dining on the warm Algarve evenings. Also on the ground floor there are two large twin bedrooms, one bathroom and a completely equipped kitchen.

Upstairs there is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a terrace/solarium overlooking the garden and pool.

The Eastern Algarve is considered to be the most picturesque part in the Algarve. The Ria Formosa Natural Park is host to a large migratory bird population and is just a few minutes walk from the villa. The Portuguese town of Tavira only about ten minutes by car is known as the most beautiful town in the Algarve and recommended for its historical past, Castle, Roman architecture and 37 churches. Throughout the year there are music events and festivals and many more activities across the whole Summer. Tavira also has a fabulous daily market where you can buy fish straight off the boats and meat, fruit and vegetables from the local farmers.

Tavira's coast is integrated in the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, a protected area which is characterized by having a high biological productivity and diversity of habitats. Tavira has a coastline measuring over 18 km long, comprising the islands of Tavira and Cabanas, which are part of the Ria Formosa barrier islands' system. Cabanas' island is the smallest of the islands within the Ria Formosa Natural Park. It is 70 meters wide and 7 km long (variable figures). This golden beach, full of shells and a warm turquoise sea is located in front of Cabanas' village, land of fishermen. Cabanas beach has been distinguished with the Blue Flag Award since 1989 and it has equipment and infrastructure services available to visitors. To get there you take a fishermen's boat across the Ria Formosa for a few minutes. There are other magnificent beaches nearby, all easily accessible by car.

Cabanas is 30 minutes drive from Faro airport and only 30 minutes drive to the Spanish border. So, if you wish you may easily take a day trip to Spain whilst you are there. In Cabanas you will experience a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings in an authentic Portugal!. An ideal place for sun, beach, golf and fish lovers!

Lovely relaxing holiday

We had a wonderful peaceful stay at this lovely well equipped villa which is set in large mature gardens. Perfect for our needs and just a 5 minute stroll from Cabanas water front and restaurants, bars and local Spar. Good communication with the owner Teresa and Margarida who meets and greets was lovely. Would definitely recommend staying at this villa and look forward to returning next year.

Holidays at cabanas 2021

We love the villa and the vacation we spent there. Very nice outdoor space with swimming pool, which allowed us to relax and enjoy great sunny days by the pool. The villa is very centralized (near the beach), has very good logistical conditions and everything is very clean and sober. We would love to repeat.

Wonderful stay at Villa Coco-Loco

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Cabanas, staying at the ideally situated villa Coco-Loco. Located in a quiet residential area but just a short walk to the water taxi to the beach, supermarket and a range of restaurants, the villa is spotlessly clean and well equipped. The outdoor spaces and pool are beautifully maintained and offer a perfect alternative to a day at the beach. We would highly recommend villa Coco- Loco to both couples and families alike. We have already booked our next holiday there.

Amazing Family holiday

We stayed at Coco Loco for 2 weeks and loved every minute. I asked lots of questions before our stay and Teresa always answered promptly. On the day of check in everything was really straightforward. The villa itself is perfectly equipped for a family with a large living space, plenty of outdoor shade and everything you need in the kitchen if you do decide to eat in (great bbq as well). The pool is fantastic getting sun on it most of the day and our little had a great time playing. The bars, restaurant and boat for the beach are less than 5 minute walk away. Everything you need for a family get away. Thanks Teresa and co :-)

Lovely villa in the Algarve

We spent 2 weeks at this lovely villa in February. The villa was everything we had hoped for. It was situated in a quiet street within walking distance of the seafront, restaurants and bars in a small town near Tavira. It was a great location from which to explore the eastern end of the Algarve, and gave us easy access to several golf courses. The villa itself was very comfortable with nice areas to relax both inside and out. Communications with both the owner and the local agent were excellent, making our stay free of any undue stress. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa as a great destination for a relaxing holiday.

Fabulous villa in a great location

We liked everything about this spacious villa but especially the large pool, well equipped outside area and that it is located in a quiet area a few minutes walk from Cabanas village. The villa and grounds are very clean, well maintained and both the kitchen and lounge areas have everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. For a small area Cabanas has a surprisingly high number of restaurants and bars to try, our favourites were Monteiro, Sabores Asiaticos and Coral although all the others we visited were also good. Murphy's bar is a must for anyone wanting to watch sport on tv. A hire car enabled us to visit some of the surrounding towns including Tavira, VRS Antonio & Castro Marim as well as some of the nearby beaches, all worthwhile experiences. Thanks Margarida and Teresa for helping to provide a well organised, stress free, relaxing holiday.

Simply Perfect!

We have just spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Vivenda Coco-Loco. The owner, Teresa, was so helpful right from our initial enquiries and it was reassuring to know that lovely Margerida(who looks after the villa) was always available if we needed any help during our holiday. The villa itself is fantastic and very spacious. We were a family of 4 (3 adults and a teenager) and had more than enough room-the villa would easily accommodate 6 people. The villa was spotlessly clean and well maintained :the outside area is particularly great. The pool was large, the sun loungers comfortable and there was lots of shade if required. The villa is centrally positioned- 5 minutes walk to the shops, restaurants and the boat across to the beach. A wonderful place for a relaxing holiday!

Fabulous family villa in a small seaside resort

This was our second visit to Villa Coco Loco as we enjoyed the first visit so much! The house was exactly as we remembered it - spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The garden is well kept (the gardener came to water the plants while we were there) and the pool is also clean and well looked after. There is an outdoor dining table and chairs, a sofa set with coffee table, and a hammock (great for reading in the sun!) The house has all the facilities you could need and I was glad to see the addition of a coffee maker in the kitchen! Previous occupants often leave inflatable items for use in the pool and there were three bodyboards in the garage when we visited, which the kids loved using to surf the waves at the beach. The villa is in a very peaceful location and only a 5 minute stroll from the waterfront. We really love Cabanas - the people in the local shops and restaurants are so friendly and welcoming and, for such a small town, there is an amazing array of high-quality restaurants. We recommend Pizzeria Roma, Cabanas Brasserie (tucked behind the modern church right by the villa), Atlantis and The Ideal. There is also an Indian takeaway in the village now too. The beach is reached via small boat (1.5 euros per person for the round trip across the Ria Formosa) and the sand goes on for miles. There is a cafe there too although it was very busy and also expensive so would definitely recommend taking your own food/drinks. Thank you again Teresa for a wonderful stay - we will be back again I'm sure!

Tolles, perfekt ausgestattetes und sehr sauberes Haus mit großen und schattigen Terrassenflächen. Schöner Garten mit großem Salzwasser-Pool (nur leicht salzig, dafür ohne Chlor), in dem man aufgrund der Größe sogar schwimmen kann. Strand, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Bars sind fußläufig erreichbar. Sehr nette Gastgeberin und Verwalterin vor Ort. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, vielen Dank, Teresa.

Familienurlaub Osterferien

Sehr schönes, gepflegtes Haus mit großzügigem Garten und schönem Pool. Die Lage ist super - der Ort, die Strandpromenade mit vielen Restaurants und das Boot zum Strand sind zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Der Check-in war unkompliziert - ein hilfsbereites und freundliches Team ist vor Ort für alle Fragen erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Schöne Villa in ruhiger Lage

Wir waren eine Woche in Coco-Loco. Wir wurden wärmstens empfangen und haben gute Tipps bekommen über Aktivitäten in der Umgebung. Die Unterkunft war schön eingerichtet und sauber und das gesamte Anwesen war sehr gepflegt. Wir würden die Villa auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft.

Maravillosa estancia

La verdad es que hemos pasado dos semanas maravillosas. El agua de la piscina muy limpia. El jardín muy bien cuidado. Un gran detalle fue el cambio de ropa de casa a la semana. Margarida muy atenta y Teresa, la propietaria, también. La casa cuenta con un equipamiento excepcional. Fuimos con dos niños de 4 y 8 años y se lo han pasado en grande. Los abuelos también han disfrutado mucho porque la casa es estupenda para todas las edades. Todo un acierto haber pasado nuestras vacaciones familiares allí.

Sehr schöne Villa

Das Haus befindet sich in einer ruhigen und doch zentralen Lage so dass man nicht unbedingt ein Auto benötigt. Es ist sehr gut eingerichtet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Betreuung war perfekt und wir können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen.

Family vacation

We had a lovely time in coco loco. Teresa was great keeping in contact, giving information and recommendations. The house was clean, well equipped and exactly like the pictures, it even hade a terrace on the top floor. We were pleasantly surprised that the house had a cleansing system for the water, so no need to buy bottled water. The location was excellent, just a short walk to shops, restaurants and boats to take you to the beach. Two weeks with the family went by too fast, we all wished we could stay longer. Hopefully we will be back again. All the best from us.
