“Very convenient location. Fantastic view from the expansive covered porch. Very clean and well appointed inside. We stayed here just before closing on a new house in the area, and the convenience and layout was perfect. If we had been here on leisure, I can see how this cottage would also be perfect for exploring the nearby national park and wine country. Communication with the host was very prompt and helpful. They even went out their way to help me retrieve a small item I left behind. ……

It was immaculately clean, comfortable and inviting, and the perfect location to go explore Shenandoah National Park & George Washington National Forest. “The hosts were welcoming and the house was perfect for our Turkey Day getaway! Although We did bring some of our own cooking supplies, the house was equipped with enough of the basics to cook everything we needed. We did a tour of the Bellegrove Plantation (a must see) which was only a few miles down the road amongst other stops during our stay. Weather was very windy and cold but the house stayed warm and wasn’t drafty at all. Overall would stay again if we were in the area. Thanks!”

“Overall, we loved it! Very comfortable house. Lots of bugs, though that's to be expected in this part of the state. If the house is going to be vacant for a while before tenants come in, it might be beneficial to run a few OTC fumigators, but not a big deal...good for building character for our kids!!There was an odor of gas near the front foyer area. We saw it referenced in the guest book, so I'm not sure why that's still an issue. If we had been able to smell it anywhere else, we'd……

“What a lovely stay! My husband booked this spot for a two night getaway for my 40th so I could have a nice break from toddlering. I didn’t meet the host but I’m sure she’s great. I did meet the dogs, also great. In terms of the amenities, the kitchen was stocked with tons of little thoughtful items ie: popcorn, wine, filtered water, soups etc… The bathroom was also stocked with everything you need, even lotion (rare). The view was beautiful to wake up to and I can’t recommend this space enough……
