What do you get when you combine an EDM and jam bands festival complete with stunning lasers and lights with the mystique and magic of a forest. Electric Forest is a festival nestled in the woods of Rothbury, MI. The festival combines the natural beauty of a woodland area with the pulsating sounds of electronic dance music and groovy jam bands. During the day festival goers are encouraged to roam through the scenery or gather and relax in any of the hammocks suspended between the tress or take in any of the art installations throughout the area. Once the sun goes down and the moon rises, you can watch the forest come alive and the magic begins. Originally dubbed Rothbury Festival in 2008, the festival was grown in size and was even nominated for Festival of the Year in 2017 by the Electronic Music Awards.
The festival lasts four days, starting on Thursday and ending Sunday night. Gates typically open around noon the first day.
