The lighthearted tale of Dolly is full of wit, charm, and mischief, and is built around exuberant songs such as “I Put My Hand In,” “It Takes a Woman,” “Ribbons Down My Back,” and the titular “Holly, Dolly!” The current revival opened in 2017 starring the phenomenal Bette Midler and David Hyde Pierce, who portrayed their roles until early 2018. The show currently stars Broadway icon Bernadette Peters as Dolly Levi and Victor Garber in the role of Horace Vandergelder.
