Memphis Grizzlies Ticket Information

As one of the most recent teams to join the NBA, the Memphis Grizzlies are still in their early days, attempting to find their footing in the Western Conference. Since their inception in 1995, the Grizzlies have made 10 appearances in the NBA Playoffs, though they have yet to bring home a division or conference championship to Memphis. That said, that hasn’t stopped the team from becoming a point of pride for the people of Tennessee, and they pack in the crowds at the FedExForum with their defense-focused “Grit and Grind.” Grab tickets to cheer on the team as they fight their way up the ranks in hopes of earning their very first title.

History of the Memphis Grizzlies

Alongside the Toronto Raptors, the Grizzlies were founded in Vancouver in 1995 as part of the NBA’s expansion into Canada. Like most newly formed squads, they struggled in their early years, not earning a winning season until 2004 after their relocation to Memphis. Following 3 straight appearances in the playoffs, the team fell into a period of decline—that is, until 2010, when powerhouses Tony Allen, Zach Randolph, and Rudy Gay ushered in the era of “Grit and Grind.” The Grizzlies became known throughout the league for their disruptive defense and high pressure on the ball, bringing fans out in droves to cheer on the city’s only professional sports team.

The Grizzlies Today

The Grizzlies have since returned to the NBA Playoffs each year since 2011. They saw their greatest success in 2013 when they made it all the way to the Conference Finals, though they ultimately lost in 4 games to the San Antonio Spurs. Today, following the loss of Allen, Randolph, and Gay, as well as working under an interim head coach, the Grizzlies are in a period of rebuilding, attempting to shape a roster around stars like Mike Conley, Marc Gasol, and Andrew Harrison. Get tickets today to watch them fight for their spot in the postseason as they face off against rivals like the Los Angeles Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
