Not only did he break records with the Falcons, but also gained Atlanta media attention for also playing in the MLB. The Falcons moved to the Georgia Dome in 1992, where they had beaten every NFL team at least once. 1998 brought head coach Dan Reeves, who led the team to their first NFC Championship Game victory and their greatest season to date, but unfortunately losing the Super Bowl against the Denver Broncos. In more recent years, the Atlanta Falcons moved to their new home at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2017. There, they won their first regular season game against the Green Bay Packers, a rematch of the 2016-2017 NFC Championship. The finished the regular season with a 10-6 record and beat the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round. They unfortunately lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Playoff round, who went on to become Super Bowl Champions that year.

The Falcons biggest rivalries are with the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers. Atlanta has shared a division with the Saints since their second season, and they lead the rivalry 52-48. The Falcons and Panthers record is 27-27.
