The British comedy musical SiX, written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss is a modernised version of the story of six wives of Henry VIII. The six ill-fated wives of King Henry VIII of England (divorced, beheaded, died; divorced, beheaded, survived) are hosting a pop concert. But the concert also doubles as a contest, with each queen facing off to see who had the worst time as Henry’s wife. The musical was first showcased by the Cambridge University students in 2017. In 2020, when the show was about to make its debut on the Broadway stage, the whole street ended up locking their doors due to Covid. After a 2 year delay, SIX finally made its way to the Broadway stage once again, earning more than 27 awards until this day.
