Toronto Maple Leafs Ticket Information

If any team is ready to win the Stanley Cup again, it’s the Maple Leafs. Their most recent championship occured in 1967, and Toronto hockey fans have been waiting patiently for another since. The Leafs are quite often postseason contenders, which makes the title-drought even tougher, but this could be the year they take it all. Auston Matthews and William Nylander are fighting it out to see who will lead the team in points while Frederik Andersen guards the net. The team is positioned well to make a run in the NHL Playoffs, so be sure to pick up your affordable Maple Leafs tickets before they sell out.

A Winning History

Formerly known as “Blueshirts,” “Arenas,” and “St. Patricks,” the Maple Leafs have a history that dates back to the foundation of the NHL. After winning the first official NHL Stanley Cup in 1918, the team went on to find moderate success through the decades until the 1940s. The 1942 Stanley Cup became a defining series for the team thanks to the teamwork of Don Metz, Turk Broda, and Sweeney Schriner, who overcame a 3-game deficit to win the cup. With 4 more championships that decade and another in the ‘50s, the team entered the 1960s in search of a new dynasty. Team captain George Armstrong led the team to 3 straight titles from 1962 to 1964, with another in 1967. Since then, the team has fought hard and seen stars come and go without making it to another Stanley Cup.
