Train Ticket Information

First founded in San Francisco in 1993, the pop rock band Train shot to success in the late 1990s with the release of their self-titled debut album. The band has been a mainstay in popular music for the last 20 years, releasing a total of 10 studio albums, winning 3 Grammy Awards, and selling more than 10 million records worldwide. Their trademark catchy, soulful lyrics can be heard on songs such as “Drops of Jupiter,” “Calling All Angels,” and “Marry Me”—all of which have been featured in movies and TV. Fans rush to grab tickets to see Train in concert, as their shows are always jam-packed with the heartfelt ballads and energetic hits that have made them famous.

Train History & Tours

Train was formed by lead singer Patrick Monahan in 1993 following the dissolution of his Led Zeppelin cover band. Initially facing rejection, the band opted to self-produce their debut album, quickly proving the music industry wrong. By 1997, Train was touring across the country, opening shows for the likes of the Barenaked Ladies, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Counting Crows. The bandmates have changed over the last 20 years, with lead singer Monahan being the only original member who’s still with the band. Today, he’s joined by Jerry Becker, Drew Shoals, and Luis and Hector Maldonado. In 2017, the band hit the road with the Play That Song Tour to promote their most recent album A Girl, a Bottle, a Boat. Fans have more chances to see Train in 2018 as tickets are on sale for their US tour alongside Hall & Oates.
