With a host of sporting talent spread across 3 conferences, the West Virginia Mountaineers have one of the most exceptional collections of athletes in the country. Whether you want to see the plays in Mountaineer Field, pick up tickets to the action at WVU Coliseum, or catch the Old Gold and Blue on the road, you can discover some of the best action in collegiate sports when West Virginia comes to play.
Football and basketball dominate the world of Mountaineer sports, with the school fielding powerhouse teams in both sports. Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams are frequent contenders in their respective NCAA tournaments, while West Virginia football is a regular in bowl games, giving you plenty of chances to follow the Mountaineers through the postseason. Like most Mountaineer sports, all 3 teams face off in the Big 12, while men’s soccer plays in the Mid-America Conference. The rifle team competes with schools across the country in the Great America Rifle Conference, bringing home more NCAA championships than any other school.
