Based on the 2005 British film of the same name, Kinky Boots combines an inspiring story with joyous music to celebrate the power of friendship, believing in yourself, and having big dreams. Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price, who struggles to keep business afloat after inheriting a modest shoe factory from his dad. But unexpected help is at hand when Charlie meets Lola, a fabulous drag queen with all the glitz, glamour, and style that Charlie just so happens to need. Complete with glittering costumes, exuberant choreography, and jubilant songs written by pop sensation Cyndi Lauper, Kinky Boots follows Charlie and Lola as they take to the catwalks of Milan with the ultimate drag shoe design and plans to revamp the business.

Debuting in Chicago in 2012, Kinky Boots didn’t initially open to critical acclaim, but that didn’t stop audiences from falling in love with this heartwarming tale of friendship, hope, and determination. After making its way to Broadway the following year, the show quickly won the hearts of viewers and earned 6 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Choreography. Today, Kinky Boots continues its Broadway run at the Hirschfeld Theatre and is traveling across the United States and Germany.
