Beautiful property with gorgeous views and vey clean. Concierge was amazingly helpful! Needs more staff serving, food needs alot of work, and stay away from the timeshare people for a discount, not worth 90 minutes of your vacation and sales is very pushy!

Has some weird rules and quirks but over all felt safe, clean and drinks were always fantastic. Not the typical so strong you can't even drink it Mexico drink. Good options are less than other resorts but the quality was there!

I had such a wonderful time the property was well kept the employee was very friendly the food was very good i will be back with more people and Omar Rivera was very nice he made me feel like a celebrity thank you

We truly enjoyed our stay. We shutdown and relax and the Royal Sands provides the setting. The buffet is really good for breakfast and lunch but dinner is meh. There are other dining options, but we do not want to have to make reservations and be on any time schedules so we just stick with the buffet which was our choice. It's not terrible, but dinners are not fabulous.

This was our 4th time staying at the sands . The quality of food and services has dropped to zero. I love the hotel but since Holiday inn bought ot oit it has gone down hill. Last time i stay at the sands unfortunately

My husband and I had a wonderful time!!! Resort is clean, confy bed, different options to eat, great dinner show, staff is friendly. He had a fantastic time. Beach and pools are awesome.

We've made sure that this information is available on our website and all of our business partners' websites.Our Inventory department works closely with the guest services department to avoid room switching. Would not recommend! Had to change rooms half way though our stay for no known reason other than it was “change” over day on Saturday and someone else needed our room. Only one option for breakfast which was the same thing everyday and several restaurants were closed on Saturday. Beach bar was also closed on Saturday. You could not get a drink until 11 and there was no lobby bar and zero nighttime entertainment unless you booked at the one restraunt that had entertainment; however you could not just attend a nightly show like we are used to. Overall clean and staff was friendly but the operations team needs some assistance.

This property is kept very well and clean. Unfortunately the dinner show was not available on the weekends. In addition, the food was just ok. I had limited choices being a vegan. Staff is very kind.

Overall, we had a fun vacation at the Royal Sands Resort and Spa. Would we go back to Cancun again, probably. Would we go back to this hotel again, no. We regretfully did the salsa presentation to try to get some discounts but they said 90 minutes and was 2 hours. Plus didn’t feel the discounts was worth that amount of time on vacation and they were very pushy. The food was ok, some places better than others. The drinks not great, most liquor drinks tasted watered down. Concierge was very attentive the first day or so until we did sales presentation and then not so much. It was very annoying having to give our room key every time we wanted to eat or have a drink and felt like we always needed to tip. The worst was the towels where you sign then out and have to return them. Ours got taken one day and they wanted to charge me for them until I complained for about 30 minutes. They even mentioned I should Come back and take Someone else towels and return them which I wasn’t going to do. Our concierge recommended 3 excursions. 2 were great (dolphin and jungle boat snorkeling). But the other (Captain Hook) was so bad we left early (read some of the recent reviews for that). I’ve never been on a worse excursion ever (show horrible, boat small and tight to sit, food horrendous (another couple found a worm In food). The room was large which we liked and the balcony big and nice view. But hotel In general outdated. The beach was nice but water very wavy. Would not go back but had fun.

Pros were our room was nice with a great view. Very clean hotel, quiet and great pool. Cons were although it’s all inclusive, access to beverages and food was difficult. You have to make daily reservations for majority of restaurants and food selections were so minimal. Even had a hard time getting bath towels. This resort lacked the “generosity” I have experienced at other all inclusive. I also wasn’t expecting ting the hard sell of timeshare. If I’d have known, would have avoided this resort. Another disappointment was the staff was just not that friendly, especially those working the coffee shop. Staff could also use some diversity training. I’ve been to Mexico numerous times and this resort fell flat for me.

Our stay was awesome. Our room was cleaned by Christina Martin who did a great job! Our concierge, Luis Bohigas, was also great. He made our restaurant reservations and encouraged us to attend a "presentation", which was of course a timeshare presentation, to receive a great gift. The food was good for the most part. Servers were really nice. Everyone was friendly. The food at Hacienda Sisal was amazing. We didn't get to attend any of the shows since we were out having a blast. The ocean was pretty rough during our whole stay but the weather was great, the winds were nice, the beach was clean and peaceful.

Staff was very friendly, and rooms were clean. the only downside from staying here, is that some drinks were extra, not everything was fully included like some hotels i been to before, and the room service food was mid. but I had a lot of fun regardless

Awesome, family friendly, quiet property with really big rooms. Super friendly staff and good food options. Nice beach. My only concern is that most restaurants have a menu with many options that cost extra and are not part of the all inclusive. There is also no option to get specialty coffee unless you pay for it at the market. They could really use a little coffee/snack shop as part of the all inclusive. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

GREAT stay. Very friendly staff, food was great. Kids water park is under maintenance at this moment which was a bummer. Other than that, I’d highly recommend it to anyone.
