The property is quite close to CSU but the condition of our room was not great. The bathroom door would not latch; it was missing part of the door knob. The tub had big chunks of paint falling off of it.

I went for CSU visit. The location was exceptionally useful. But, It’s really noisy. The breakfast is OK.

So close to campus, but $500/night for a little better than a motel 6. Clean, staff was amazing. But, if this hotel wasn’t close to campus , I’d never come back. Bed squeeked when you breathed, breakfast was meh. Loved the Dazbog coffee. Absolutely no amenities…no little grocery or alcohol available. The pool and hot tub were gross. This hotel needs to be updated. In another 5 years the fact that it is close to campus won’t matter. Again, to end on positives. Clean and the staff is awesome, but this hotel needs attention.

I was made aware of the circumstances and we did reduce your room rate by half as a refund for those challenges. Our hotel policy is that we do not accept pre-paid debit cards as a form of payment for a hotel incidental deposit upon guest check in. I apologize for that miscommunication.

Still just a freshman dorm
The bathroom door fell off the hinges. We reported it to the desk but they did nothing. We asked to be moved after 3 days. We were moved two doors down in a room that smelled like mothballs. And the bathroom door didn't close all the way. This hotel was used as a drum last year. We expected improvements to be made after this, but clearly they were not.

The doors to the rooms face outside like a Motel. The online images don't show that. I wouldn't have chose this venue had I known that since traveling alone. Makes me feel uneasy. Outside of that, it was a bit rundown.

Arrived to a 10-person line trying to check in. 15 min later it was down to 9. In the meantime one woman complained she’d gotten 1 bed and had reserved 2, while the woman behind her said “I’ve got 2 and only reserved 1.” About that moment a man walked in and slammed a key on the counter, saying: “that room already has someone in it. We’re leaving and not paying!” I attempted to cancel via Expedia and the agent was put on hold right in front of me by the desk staff person (one person) who was clearly overwhelmed. Not sure if it was staffing, training, or what but we were going to be late for a wedding and didn’t have 2 hours to check into a hotel. Absolute disaster. We didn’t get into a room but the lobby left us less than encouraged that the rooms would be remotely livable.

The place is dated, bad. The AC unit in our room does not have a working thermostat so it’s either on or off making for a cold night and humid day. Every time we left the room for an extended period of time we turned off the AC unit and when we got back the room smelled horribly musty. The hallways always smell that way. On a positive, it’s conveniently located to Old Town which made walks to different restaurants and coffee shops super convenient. The staff is friendly and inviting.

Location is perfect to walk or drive to CSU or to historic downtown shopping & restaurants a few blocks away. Staff is super friendly & helpful! Rooms are clean. Complimentary breakfast 6-10 am. Pool & hot tub available. Preferred place to stay when visiting my CSU student.
