The property is very clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. The room confortable and need. Location excellent infront the station and a couple of minutes walk to the center of Leeuwaarden

Oranje Hotel Leeuwarden Continues Rich Tradition
The Oranje Hotel across from the train station in Leeuwarden has been welcoming guests for over one- hundred years, as can be seen in the oldest photos/images on a wall in the hotel chronicling the hotel's rich past. Now an Eden property, the Oranje Hotel continues its tradition of comfort and service at a reasonable price. The hotel has an expansive bar and lounge area with a number of quiet and comfortable niches. There is even a reading area with magazines and reading lamps. An ample breakfast is offered daily until 11 AM at a good price. The hotel's rooms are efficiently appointed: my only disappointment, such as it was over two nights, is the lack of English speaking channels on the television. (There is just one, from an unlikely source - French TV - but no CNN or even BBC). There are restaurants directly to the left and right of the hotel, and if you fancy a steak a Loetje's is at hand!

Customer Service was excellent, room clean, breakfast great, it's just an older hotel with smaller rooms, and the halls are maze-like, that was my only dislike.

The staff were excellent and the room was very clean and comfortable. A small complaint was the lack of adequate tea and coffee in the room. Otherwise the room had everything needed. The location, close to the station, is perfect for those travelling around by train. We will undoubtedly return.

Really lovely and friendly staff. Bed is very comfortable and the shower is nice with excellent pressure and hot water. The complimentary toiletries are of high quality and very welcome. Only downside was that the room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke and one night we had the fresh smell of smoke come into the room every 10 minutes or so, possibly via the aircon duct from a neighbouring room.

All clean and professionally run. We travelled with a Dog, the staff were really kind providing a dog bed and feeding bowls. We would visit again. Due to Covid-19 there were limitations with the bar and restaurant buy even so the staff were welcoming and did there best.

Great location by train station, friendly and accommodating staff, attached to full service restaurant. My only complaint is the fake stained glass covering on my window, which further obscured any daylight. I would have rather looked at the utilities on the roof.

It is old but very clean and has a rich history having been there 140 years. it so convenient across the street from the train station, and easy walking to shops and cente of town. in 2017 we stayed here two weeks this time 9 days

Convenient location directly opposite the main Train Station with direct connection to Schiphol International Airport via intercity train and other major cities in Netherlands. Proximity to the historic city center of Leeuwarden makes every major tourist and business destination reachable by foot.

A comfortable hotel in a very central location, right across from the station. The beds are nice except the two mattresses kept sliding away from each other. Our room overlooked the street, but it wasn't too noisy when the window was closed. The room was clean, and although our beds were made each day, the glasses were not changed out. The minibar fridge did not work, but we didn't use anything from it, so it didn't impact our stay and only reported it at checkout. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I would definitely return when visiting Leeuwarden.
