Very convenient hotel in walking distance from Altstadt of Goslar. Freshly renovated, large room. Very good breakfast with a lot of variety.

Although dated on the outside, rooms are new, modern and clean. Our companions’ room air conditioner did not work. They quickly gave them another room. All good. Breakfast buffet very nice, delicious offerings. Staff super nice.

We were upgraded to a large corner room in the new section of the hotel. Service was outstanding and the breakfast delicious And I must admit I really loved the art on the walls that was on loan from the museum

This hotel is ideally located next to the train station, for those people who arrive late or need to leave early in the morning. The breakfast is lovely, in a serene room and with a great selection of items for breakfast.

Good accommodation
Staff were very helpful and welcoming when we arrived and throughout our stay. The hotel is well appointed and comfortable. Take some time to view the range of paintings throughout the hotel. Breakfast was great. Good value stay in a beautiful area.

Extremely small single room for the price of a double room. Noisy room adjacent to the elevator, no sleep possible before everybody else was in bed!

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful town
Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. Highly recommended. The hotel is one minute from the station and two minutes from the pedestrianised town centre. The hotel itself is recently refurbished but has retained its 100 year heritage.Staff were all polite and helpful and we were particularly impressed by the superb buffet breakfast included in the price. The hotel has a pleasant restaurant but there are more atmospheric venues in the old Market Square five minutes away on foot. Therefore our recommendation is to book bed & breakfast so you have the option of eating at the hotel or strolling into the centre. Goslar is a wonderful medieval town on the edge of the Harz mountains. It is rarely visited by the British but most stores and restaurants's staff spoke sufficient English. However a few basic German phrases will be useful to UK visitors The town felt very safe. So the combination of safety, pedestrianised streets, nearby mountains and medieval sites make it ideal for mature visitors whilst teenagers may find it of limited appeal. This also applies to the hotel which is solid, welcoming and extremely comfortable but lacking the swimming pool, sauna etc that some may look for.

Excellent Choice in Goslar
Excellent location for visiting both Goslar and adjacent areas: very car-friendly (although very limited on-site hotel parking, there is cheap public parking nearby) and near train station. Room was large, clean and cheery. Buffet breakfast was excellent in both variety and quality. Excellent housekeeping on both days of our visit.

Ideal position and excellent rooms
Difficult to fault this hotel - renew carpets stair carpets perhaps? Lots of space and lovely staff. Breakfast very good indeed, and very quiet comfortable spotless rooms.

Convenient, clean ,comfortable , &well maintained , this hotel is a very good find , It is across the street from main train/bus station and balcony rooms have lovely view of the surrounding scenic hills . The Old town and museums and shopping are all in walking distance . There is a big outdoor swimming pool on the edge of town ,great for a hot day . Goslar offers lots to see and discover in the town and area . NIedersaechsischer Hof was just right .

Stayed at this hotel whilst attending a wedding in Goslar and it was in the perfect location. Lovely and friendly reception staff. Room was comfortable but there were times whilst showering, when the water would unexpectedly turn scalding hot or ice cold (I'm assuming that our pipes were connected to an adjacent room); it almost put us off showering due to the unpredictability. There was no bath in our room either. Wifi isn't the fastest in this hotel, so don't expect to be able to do more than basic browsing/ emails.

Tour of the Harz
The Harz area is very good with regards to history and culture. Goslar is a cosy little city and easy access to the nearby small cities with a lot of mining history, small castles and nice towns. Lots of great food. We especially enjoyed The Tour of the Bad Grund mine, unfortunately only In german.

A good hotel, within easy walking distance of the town centre. Rooms are well decorated, and the bathroom facilities, shower etc, were spotless. Many restaurants within two minutes walk. The staff were extremely helpful, and recommended restaurants when asked. We went to the "brauhaus" in the town centre, and we had a wonderful meal, a schnitzel, washed down with excellent local beer. The breakfast was extensive, with egg dishes made to order, and all located in a beautiful dining room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This hotel looks like it has character in a beautiful town but it feels more like a hotel for business people. Still, it is clean, organized and well staffed. Good but not great.

Hotel situated 10 min walk from Altstadt

I stayed there for a night to see Goslar. The hotel is situated right on the train station, and in a walking distance from the city center. It was not loud, nevertheless, because the trains stop quite early. The room was very large and we had a nice balcony. We got a smoking room although we asked for a non-smoking room, but this was not of a problem (we didn't ask to change). The hotel crew was very friendly, and we were in general very pleases with the stay. Pricing was a bit high, but I guess because there are not many good hotels in Goslar. Goslar in general is worth seeing!

Goslar Hotel
Good location across from the train station, yet not to far to the central square and interesting part of town. Good, friendly and helpful staff. Even provided an umbrella when heading out to dinner and it started to rain. Good sized room for Europe, even if with the typical two small single beds pushed together to become one. Reasonably comfy. Internet worked well. Buffet breakfast was decent and about what you'd expect for the price.

Our room was huge! We had more windows than any other European hotel we have stayed in ever. The staff was knowledgable and very helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic! The hotel is directly across from the bahnhof, but there was almost no noise. The only downside was the lack of a mini-bar. We would definitely stay at the Niedersaechsischer Hof again.

Nice hotell in Goslar
NIce hotel in central Goslar right by the trainstation. A bit old but no problem really. Good breakfast and fiendly staff. English is a big problem though with staff not even being able to help you to a good restaurant because of lacking english speaking skills. Good for both travelsrs by rail and car. Free oparking right behind the hotell. Free wireless in the rooms is also a nice pluss.

The location is extremely convenient and close to the main square and right next to the train station. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. I would choose to stay there if I go to Goslar again.

An excellent hotel located at a perfect location ( 5 minutes walk from the center ). The room was large and comfortable and very clean. Whatever they charge, it's worth it!!!!
This hotel always delivers. They are friendly and helpful with a delightful staff. By European standards, this is the largest room you will get on your stay (except for a suite, of course). This was our second time to visit the hotel and it didn't disappoint. Goslar experienced an early freeze and winter storm during our stay, so the hotel offered extra blankets, just in case. The breakfast is fantastic, offering fresh make it yourself waffles, fresh squeezed orange juice and hot scrambled eggs and bacon. This isn't your typical Euro breakfast of cold cuts and cheese platters, although they have that if you like! Wonderful experience. We will always pick this hotel, because you get what you pay for.
