The location is great and the room is a good size. WIFI was non existent and the room needed a thorough cleaning- lots of spots were missed. The balcony was shared with another suite.

I booked a King with a balcony and when we got there, the room was the size of the bed. They switched us to another room but it had two full-size beds, which was not very romantic. Just know that the rooms are not all the same size and the room they gave us was probably not even intended to be a room but maybe a storage closet????

I went to eat breakfast in the restaurant. While I was waiting for service, I started working, drinking the free hotel coffee. After the other guests had been served, I noticed that the young waitress started playing on her phone instead of taking my order. I concluded I would not be served and went back to my room with the free hotel coffee. The next morning, the desk staff and waitresses told me that I was banned from their restaurant for not paying my - free !! - hotel coffee !! They locked me out from the restaurant. I complained and the manager did apologize: the accusations were based on misunderstandings .... I was very emotionally upset being called a thief !

We had a great stay! The location is excellent but far enough away that it is quiet. We loved the music in the restaurant attached to the hotel and Joshua, the bartender, was a joy. We will definitely be back!

The location was great and the exterior of the building and the courtyard were lovely. The room and hallway were shabby. Our room had a hole in the bathroom ceiling, exposed screws (sharp ends) around the towel rack in the bathroom, no sink stopper. One lamp didn't work and there was some sort of hole with what looked like a dirt pile in the closet. Bed was ok. Minimal pillows on bed. The coffee pot was sketch and we didn't try it. Only two elevators for a fairly spacious hotel and one was out of order and the other sounded like it was going to break at any moment. We took the stairs, even with our luggage. It was a great location and we felt good about having on-site valet parking to keep our vehicle safe.Staff was friendly and the price was about as good as you can expect and be just a few blocks from the French Quarter and Jackson Square. We would consider returning with lower expectations for the room. I'd say they have a really good photographer for their listing.

Very convenient to all that is the French Quarter without being right in the middle of it all. Easy walking to restaurants bars, etc. The place could use an upgrade.

This is an older property on the back side of the French Quarter. The property is safe and quite. The rooms are showing some wear and tear, but overall for the price it a great place to stay. It encourages you to walk and explore the neighborhood away from the quarter. Which is alot of fun, and visiting the neighborhood bars with the locals

This is a great location just a couple blocks from bourbon street. It really is a beautiful property but so run down. The staff was nice. They tout a large heated pool. We were here 2 yrs ago and it is an average size pool. However was heated, clean, lighted at night. This trip the pool was cold, dirty and no lights to enjoy at night. We were there same time of year both times for French quarter fest. Our room was run down. Rips in sheets, stained carpeting. Missing artwork from the wall. We traveled with family. My sister & her husbands room had wet carpet from the balcony 1/4 through the room when they arrived as there was rain they say they got there. Their toilet seat was broken, missing light bulb in a lamp that only worked if you plugged it in. We looked at the same dental picks on the floor next to the elevator on our floor for 3 days. My sister in law and husband were stuck on their floor for an hour as the elevator was down and if you tried to go down the stairs and exit the exit door said the alarm wound sound if you tried to exit. I want to love this place but for the price it's a big no when considering return.

We had to go to the office 6 times when checking in our room, because the key cards weren't working. Then they changed our room, this room had a cement wall outside our window, wasn't sure if it was day or night. We stayed at this motel twice before and were very disappointed this time!

Staff is remarkable, which partially makes up for the old rooms. We were locked out of our room several times, including one time when the old latch behind us locked the door! A maintenance tech saw us trying to open the door and immediately tried to help. He did have to call someone with a tool to pop the door open. The one desk agent seemed addicted to her phone, and it was hard to get her attention, she even had her head down while talking to us. Besides her, staff was great. The hotel bar is a great time with amazing music.

What a dump! The hotel ran out of complimentary bottles of water. The housekeeping staff didn't clean and replenish correctly and the hotel itself is in terrible condition. To add insult to injury, the internet was patchy and the room had no remote control for the tv. Stay away from this hotel no matter now inexpensive!

Great location, awful hotel. Pretty much nothing works, had to check out literally 8 rooms to find a TV that worked. Safe didn't work, and if it did all someone had to do is tear it out of the dresser drawer. Probably one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. In 2024 very little about this place makes sense. Easy walk around French Quater though.

We had no tv channels avail. We requested a technician but none was sent. Requested an additional pillow, none was brought. The tub stopper did not work, was unable to enjoy a bath. Exhaust fan in bathroom did not work.

Other than the convenience and the valet parking gentlemen, the rest of the stay was just okay. The beds were awful, the lights didn’t work, no fan in the bathroom and the elevator was horrible.

Uncomfortable beds, poor internet connection, TV wouldn't work without good wifi. Had to connect to my own phone's hotspot in order to gave tv connection. One elevator was out of service and the other was so noisy that it seemed like it was anout to breakdown.

I had stayed at Maison Dupuy about 15 years ago and I would have rated it Excellent overall. Unfortunately, it now looks like the property has not been well cared for. The staff was great and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was fine with plenty of hot water. We had no TV service or WIFI, but they were working on it and getting a new provider, so I gave that a pass. The courtyard was the best spot, but it just lacked luster. If you are looking for an affordable average hotel, it is fine, but I was looking for the elegant hotel it used to be.

Have stayed here before, always a great stay. Staff is courteous and professional. Hotel itself is fantastic, love the courtyard and pool area. Restaurant and bar is very nice also; complimentary coffee in the lobby every morning. Hotel location is perfect: in the Quarter but just off of the noise of Bourbon St, walkable to everywhere. I can’t recommend the Maison Dupuy enough!

The Maison Dupuy is a great option and value in the French Quarter if you want to be away from the craziness of Bourbon St, and still within easy walking distance of everything. I had no issues during my 3 night stay. The staff was very friendly and they were able to check me in early on my arrival day. The room and king bed were perfectly comfortable, but the hotel common areas could use some attention. I will agree with other reviewers regarding the lack of TV service. Since this is such an issue with most guests, it seems that it would be an easy fix to just upgrade the internet service. Regardless, I would stay here again on another visit to New Orleans.

As a first timer in new orleans i loved being in the french quarter. However, had way too many issues with key cars at the hotel. First upon checking in, then got moved to another room. And every time we left the room we had to go back down to front desk. Also our bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. And our last day the wifi wasn’t working so we couldn’t watch anything on the tv (had a 4am flight). Overall it’s cute but wouldn’t recommend

The location was fine and I expected some level of dirtiness and disrepair because it’s an old building. I was not expecting one elevator to be out of order ( I was on it when it broke down luckily it hadn’t left the first floor) or the toilet seat to move, or the cockroach on the carpet in my room and what I believe are bites from said bug on my son. (Based on google searches because I have never seen a cockroach in person) they did remove the insect but nothing more was done or said. The staff seemed nice enough but guest services could use some improvement.

Worse hotel I’ve stayed in. Hotel was old, outdated. The lady in lobby needs to update her customer service skills. She was not friendly at all. Only one elevator working and you’re scared to be in it because it’s so old and squeaky. Shower was gross, the shower curtain has blood in it. The room smells like mold and the bathroom does not have ventilation so you can smell everything inside your room. Not going back ever again! I was so disappointed
