We were breaking our journey from Marseilles to Ouistreham and the spot seemed ideal just off Motorway and complete with choice of petrol stations. However, the hotel address on both Satnavs took us to a point where there was no hotel visible. After nearly an hour of back and forth following directions from locals, we ended up being escorted by one very nice local to the hotel situated down what appeared to be a track leading to an Industrial estate where the hotel did not become evident until we had driven about 400 metres from the road. The hotel should state on its website that you turn left just before Ritchies Diner and it is 400 metres down the lane with no indication it is there until you are actually in front of it.

Good value
Good value stop over. Check in at any time due to codes/ machine. Secure parking
Was very concerned that the hotel which was key code operated, put an envelope taped to the front door with my room number and key code in it ! Anyone could have opened it. For a woman traveling alone, I spent a VERY sleepless night !
Actual room and bathroom were fine if basic. While
Place needs a huge overhaul.
Simple, clean, comfortable. For the money, great option for a short over-night stay on the way back to Paris. Noise could be an issue if you need to open the window (next to highway), otherwise pleasant stay.
Area looks a bit sketchy when you arrive, signs saying they don't take responsibility if anything's stolen from your care. I took the usual precautions, and more decent looking cars arrived as the evening wore on - everyone seemed v nice & 'normal' and no issues at all. Staff friendly & helpful. Nearby (v short stroll) chain restaurant was good, v busy but not so busy we couldn't get an early-ish table with kids. I think really geared toward grilled cow so not so fab it that's not your thing! But there was something for everyone on the menu - the cow stuff looked best. Also got 15% off with a voucher from Ibis - bonus.
Buffet breakfast reasonable - totally fine for a stopover breakfast and priced accordingly. V happy with our stay.
Travelling south to Aix-en-Provence from London needed a stop to rest. The Ibis was perfect near to auto route access and Capacaille restaurant. It's basic but great value for money considering the short time we were there. Rooms were comfortable and clean no complaints. Only issue we had was at checking where our reservation from Hotels. Com did not arrive before us we booked 40 mins before, not everything is instant.
The IBIS Budget hotel is just off a main road outside Pouilly. It is in an industrial business park with only a restaurant and a supermarket offering services to travellers. The hotel has no liquor license so even a nightcap in the outdoor seated area next to the car park is not possible (unless you buy warm drinks at the supermarket).
The town is not within walking distance and even if you drive to town, the facilities for travellers are basic or closed.
The room is small and there is no air conditioner or fan. I slept badly due to heat even with window wide open. There are no insect screens or security screens fitted.

Good overnight place if you are in transit
We've arrived at night (transiting from North to South), there was reception but only a machine that issues room keys. There was an emergency number to call in case of any issues of difficulties. It took us a while to find the hotel, as there were no signs leading to it and in the dark was difficult to locate it. In a daylight it's obviously should be easier, as we found out it in the morning. The rooms were clean, good enough to have a comfortable sleep and move on further. Nothing overly exceptional. Expectedly for the price.
V basic but spotless and a good location and price
Used the hotel for a stop-over on the way from Paris to Provence. It's a good location, very basic but that's what you expect, but it was spotless and the bed/sheets etc clean and fresh, and comfy. We used the room-for-three, with a single bunk bed above the double bed, for the two of us and our teenage daughter. It was fine, and the price was good for the three of us.
We planned to stop here for one night on the way from Chamonix to Paris. We arrived at around 9pm, with a two year old child. The location is convenient, but that is where the positives ended for us. When we checked in to the room there was a strong smell of a certain illegal (smoked) substance. The manager denied that there was any smell, was unhelpful and intimidating and refused to refund or to at least put us in touch with anyone higher up in the hotel chain. We were not prepared to stay in this room with a young child and there were no alternative rooms available, so we kept driving looking for another room, which we found an hour's drive north at the (cheaper) HotelF1 Auxerre - where the room was clean and free of smoke....
It may have been cheaper than others but not worth the 49 euros. The location was unpleasant and the so called restaurant was a walk away and not at all cheap so what you saved on the hotel you spent on the food. The room was like a cell and the next morning there was sick in the lifts! Would have left as soon as we got there but had been driving for 10 hours. Left as soon as thick mist lifted in the morning.
Hôtel un peu vieillissant mais personnel très gentil

A éviter absolument, passez votre chemin
A éviter absolument.
