The staff served two hotels—one next to this one. I don’t blame them at all. I blame Wyndham. They purchase all the hotels in the area and stuck a small limited staff with the responsibility. Any improvements Wyndham bank-rolled were purely cosmetic. They painted and landscaped. The entire HVAC system sucks. The first floor, where I first had a room and then changed it to upstairs because of wet sheets and water on the floor, was a nightmare. The rates, driven up by Spring Break, were outrageous. This hotel sucks. Again, not the staff’s fault. It’s Wyndham. Wyndham had a lot of damn nerve to charge what they did for a two night stay. Avoid this hotel, and it’s next door property.

We had bugs in the bathroom fridge didn't work for the first night,floors not clean, took over half an hour for someone to figure out how to get into the pool area. Definitely will not stay here again

The Front Desk was virtual, but that worked ok from the portal in the lobby. I could not reach the Front Desk from my room phone. The portal machine provided room key, receipt, and a web camera showing the personnel. I ordered my wake up call from the portal too.

THE WORST
The smell was horrible. The floors had crap everywhere. There was TWO towells in the bathroom. There wa sticky stuff all over the table, along with left over food crumbs on the floor. The staff (virtual) was ridiculous, and to not tell people up front about pricving is unprofessional. I also was supposed to have a AAA rate, which they didnt give. I will have to contact the bank. Im beyond disgusted with the place. The pictures WERE NOTHING like wahts online

The place was under renovation and there was a strong smell of paint. Paint splatters and construction dust everywhere. Ice machines on all the floors not working. Did not have enough towels, some were brought up later. Not sure how i feel about a virtual check-in attendant, it may be a novelty but after a long drive having to deal with that was not welcoming. Over all, very dissapointing, will not stay again

Unsafe location go to the Quality next door.
There’s no attendant in the evening anywhere on site. Numerous individuals making noise in the halls at midnight and only a screen at the main desk to contact anyone. From a 1st responders point, very unsafe.

They’re trying.
I know they’re still recovering from the hurricane so the virtual computer check in is understandable. The condition isn’t the best but it looks like they’re trying to restore it as quickly as they can. The beds were comfortable and everything worked but the mildew smell was hard to overcome. The rooms were beat up and the walls would shudder when a neighboring room would shut the door. Check in was weird. It was done via a video monitor with an agent who appeared to be in India. There is almost no on site staff.

Had bad smells. Room was old and dirty. I felt if i was gonna return from a trip with bedbugs this would be the place i got it from so had to disinfectant everything. I was looking for inexpensive but quality shouldn't have to be foregone. The check in process was all automated with a virtual employee which was fine i guess but then if you had any issues you had no one to speak with in person. The breakfast buffet was lacking and stale food. Save up an extra few dollars and go somewhere much nicer.

ROACH (photos) !! FLOOD IN MY ROOM FROM AIR CONDITIONING UNIT. (& to add insult to injury....NO REFUND AFTER WAITING 21 DAYS!) All I'll say is, after a flood in my room and roach, the Manager met with me and we talked in the hallway in front of my hotel room. I showed him the photo on my phone of the dead roach, and had him come into my room and into the bathroom. He apologized profusely & told me I would get a full refund. I told him I was DESERVING of the refund. Later that morning, I checked out at the KIOSK.... and they provided the bill to me, it was still showing 'payment in full' and charges on my credit card - so I told the Kiosk person in the box, that the manager was giving me a FULL REFUND due to the flood in my room and the Roach. I asked him to take the charges off right away. He told me he couldn't do that, and that I would see the reversed charges in 10-12 days 1) No refund. It's been 21 days. 2)) I called the Days Inn Sarasota today (21ST DAY). The Customer Service Rep answered my call & it was a bad connection with crackling on his headset. I told him he couldn't be heard. He fixed his headset, then said to me "What's your problem?" (Um, excuse me, but, is that how you address a client?) Calling Dept of Health asap

For this trip, we knew we wouldn't be spending much time in the hotel room itself, we had plans with family in the area so we just needed a place to sleep and shower. So we knew we were going for budget and this wasn't going to be a ritz carlton experience. Bit it was slightly more low budget than I even realized when making the initial reservation. The bed was re-made (not washed), fresh towels & soap left in our room and the trash emptied every day. But we had to ask for coffee every morning for the in-room coffee maker. By the third day we learned to just leave a reminder note for the cleaning crew along with our tip. The first morning we woke up there, the coffee machine in the dining area wasn't working. The storage bin in the pool area with the label "clean pool towels" was empty with the exception of DIRTY towels and even a banana peel someone had tossed in there. Often towels and sheets were left in the hallway for hours at a time that we'd have to weave our way through if we had to walk to the lobby. Unsafe situation for someone who may be in a wheelchair. We checked in late on the first night, so the 24-hour check-in kiosk worked slick. But we never were able to find anyone else at the front desk the entire other 5 nights we stayed there. Overall, It was a safe and convenient place to stay. But don't expect any frills! :-)

There was no person staff available. I put in a request for our room with slips provided and even asked the computer person for items we need but we never received them. Pool was full of algae on side no pool towels. Breakfast was a joke only decafe coffee waffles stale cereal for guests. Never again will I stay.

Terrible hotel
The rooms and hallways smell like food. The rooms are not clean. The managers will call the cops if you’re not out at checkout to the minute. Terrible experience.

Overall the place was not clean. There’s no on on-site all they have is a kiosk with a person somewhere else and the communication between them and the guest is horrible.

Check in was simple with the kiosk. It was strange seeing no staff at the front desk. Checkout took about 10 minutes because the person before me had to have their room checked. (No staff) TV didn't have Fox 13, channel 13 said "FX" but had no actual video to watch. Tub was very slippery, like safety hazard slippery. No tub mat or anything to keep from slipping. HSKP woke me up a little after 9am, I had no DnD sign for the door. Bed was very comfortable, but it was really tall. It almost came up to my waist so climbing in/out was interesting.
