This is possibly part my oversight and also possibly part poor hotel management. I stay in many hotels around the world and this is the first time I've been unable to obtain a meal after a long journey. In this case a 750km drive from the UK to this Central France destination. To be told that the restaurant was fully booked even though I was a resident was frankly totally unacceptable. Hotels are there to provide rest, relaxation and sustenance for its fee paying guests. Well that's my view, apparently it's different to the view of huge owners of this hotel who believe it's priority is booking it's restraint to the rafters and worrying about its residents later. Shocking, truly shocking, so much so that I left the hotel and didn't stay the night. I drove another 100km and found a simple Ibis that although basic, at least was prepared to server me food, even at 10pm at night. If you're expecting a warm welcome, I urge you fellow travellers, book another location. I refer to my earlier comment. I travel the globe for work and know how hotels should operate. I generally stay in nice hotels, this doesn't come close. One saving grace is that the communication received from the hotel after my 'stay' was reasonably pleasant although no solution was forthcoming, I will be seeking a refund of any monies claimed, I did not receive what I had agreed to pay for. Avoid.
