It's a good cheap option for stays in Glenelg, there are a few minor negative points, but all easily overcome.

The property was quite old not enough parking spaces the bathroom was very dirty a lot of build up on the walls above the showers staff were very friendly The little bar fridge had a horrible mouldy smell as soon as you opened the fridge door the whole room smelt

The pool was out of action and that was one of the reasons I booked to go there. There were lovely views of the marina from the room The staff were lovely. It was a bit noisy with people around us coming and going but that’s what hotels are like. The room was just ok. Fridge was tiny. But bed was comfortable

The building was dirty, old and run down. The curtains did not close properly. The shower was terrible and there was no soap holder etc. The parking was.very limited and we could not park near our room. The area was noisy and there was no dining close by, so had to drive everywhere. We left a day early, as we didn’t want to stay another day, even though we had paid for it.

Not as what was advertised , Balcony room could not access balcony and shower/bath poor shower water pressure. Mould in shower. Changed to queen room better but shower was mouldy. Dust falling from ceiling in both room around the ceiling Cornice big gap where the dust would fall. Parking area full of holes.

Good location but rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade, no housekeeping service for up to a 4 nights so that was also disappointing.

We always love staying at the Haven Marina. Convenient , great price, free parking. It is a very busy Motel .Normally it is very quiet,but this stay we had a lot of noise (people banging doors , talking and laughing VERY loud between 3.30am and 5 am.......Our room was by the stairs so also lotsa noise of people going up and down the stairs. We will stay again ,but won't have room by stairs .

The building was very old and run down. Security locks were broken, car parking was tight. Overall very basic. Was all we ‘essentially’ ’ needed so was ok.

The room I stayed in needed an up grade very badly. Carpets looked worn and stained. Decorative pillows on the beds had big strain on the covers. It would have looked better without them. Outside of the buildings needed an up grade too Staff were friendly but I probably wouldn’t stay there again until it was upgraded

Excellent room. Clean and presentable. Bathroom was small compared to other hotels but that’s only a minor issue. The fact I wasn’t required to leave a deposit when booking in was a massive bonus.

Relaxing, pleasurable stay
The room is old in style but very comfortable, safe and clean. Booking in was easy and quick as the staff were positive, happy and welcoming. Ample car parks available. A perfect position on Aldelphia Terrace as the river is across the road, so much in walking distance like restaurants, transport and shopping. I totally enjoyed my stay and recommend the Haven Marina

Marina view, without the view
We stayed here for one night on the long weekend, just as a stopover. I arrived early and was able to get into my room well before normal check in time which was great. However I paid extra to have a marina view, and there was a giant bus parked sideways across multiple parks, there for my entire trip, and it blocked the marina view. When I made a comment to reception staff, they just said they were sorry and fobbed me off. Otherwise the hotel is very outdated, the hot water was temperamental, thin walls. It was fairly cheap. So you get what you pay for. Definitely don’t expect fancy when you come here. Over it was “meh” but okay for 1 night.
