Rooms are unkept and need deep clean. Isolated location and no pool/fitness. Staff were not very accommodating for late/early check out. Rooms have no safes and no peep holes on hallway door for safety.

Common areas of the hotel are nice and clean but room definitely was not. There was mould on the walls and roof of the bathroom (makes sense since there was no fan) and bedding had stains. Very expensive for the level of quality, should have stayed at a dodgy motel for the same level of cleanliness and saved my $$$

Hotel has a lot of surrounding construction, wasn't advised ahead of stay. Parking is $30 per night and there are limited alternative options. Expedia mentions twin beds (in other hotels twin bed has meant two doubles), but at QT it is two single beds. We were originally in room 710 with two twin beds, next to the lift. Lift noise was so loud we asked to switch rooms. We're told lift shuts at 9pm but with a baby who would nap in the room during the day it's not even an option with so much noise. Staff helped us to move to a king bed in room 210. This room is so much smaller and the king bed was just singles strapped together. Co sleeping with a baby is awkward with a ridge in the bed. Curtains were dirty with stains and stains on the chairs and carpet. One lamp didn't even have a globe in it. Bathroom sink tap was loose and jiggled around when touched. Air con is an old dial and clanged in the vent when adjusted. Staff were lovely but it wasn't an enjoyable stay.

No serious problems at all. A perfectly reasonable hotel. Reception was very professional. But like most Canberra hotels, it's expensive for what you get. Dining options are few and what there is is ridiculously expensive. Bathroom was poorly designed: water everywhere and rotting/cracking walls and doors (but well concealed). The lamps in the room look like they belong in a brothel! And most annoying of all: $30 for parking IN CANBERRA!? Not good.

The best thing about this hotel was the front desk staff really friendly and helpful. The rooms and the facilities however really outdated, room smells. Very outdated rooms and facilities. Pricey for what’s on offer!

Nice with a funky twist.
We stayed here for a special occasion. This is a funky hotel with lots of looks for relaxed seating. The room was comfortable but not overly spacious. We are computer literate, but if we were not, the reliance on technology for information could have been a problem. Printed information was available at the desk but that's a hassle to have to access. The breakfast was nice and reasonably priced a la carte $ 25 for eggs ham and tomatoes. No buffet as advertised on the website which is probably a reflection on our COVID phobia. Parking at $30 was in our opinion highly priced. The bed was super comfortable but the pillows were very high and rather hard. I don't know if there was another option available. The large dispensers of the wonderful lotions and body washes is a big tick.

Convenient for ANU and city. Comfortable and nicely quirky. Stayed here many times over many years. Some signs of wear and tear, but nothing significant. Building works around hotel are a little inconvenient, but again nothing significant. Will stay here again on next visit.

Called prior to request early check in although as accommodation was completely booked this was unavailable. Staff advised to call an hour prior to regular check in time to ask again. After contacting the second time we were advised check in was still unavailable although room would be ready at regular check in - 2pm. Upon arrival at 2pm we were advised room would be a further ten minutes and given one free drink voucher to share between the three people whom had booked and paid for accommodation. We proceeded to wait until 2:45pm for advice our room was ready.

This was the first stop on our three week trip and after a long and wonderful first day of the trip we came to check in and the lady working at Reception told us that our room had been cancelled. I had paid for the room up front many weeks prior to check in and not received any sort of refund so I was pretty confused. She said that she had never seen anything like this before but Expedia had cancelled our booking and was holding the money. Luckily she was able to see that we had paid and put us up in another room but if the hotel had been fully booked we would have been stuffed. The lady got us into another room and then called through to our room about half an hour later to let us know she was able to retrieve our money from Expedia for the booking and that it was all sorted. So I was very happy with the service from the hotel staff, but unfortunately, when we got to our room there was a very strong mould smell in the room. At first I thought it was coming from the air conditioner, but we noticed there might have been some sort of water leak under the carpet near the bathroom and door. Also, the air conditioner seemed to only have cold settings working. It got quite cold during the night and the air con was only blowing out really cold air directly into our faces, but when the air con was off, the room got very stuffy and hot. Considering the room is quite expensive, even for the lower tier rooms, I was disappointed at this. Onsite parking was good, but a little expensive

30$ parking per night is a bit rich, should be included in the stay. Buffet breakfast was not on offer as they prioritised Melbourne cup lunch over offering a buffet breakfast, main reason we stayed was for that. Upstairs breakfast is a rip off. Room was nice, couldn’t find a way to watch normal TV.

This QT needs a renovation. Compared with its Melbourne and Sydney hotels this one looks very tired and old. This is not a reflection on the staff at all who were really great.
