The trainee flight attendant on Seattle to Bellingham flight was the nicest Alaska employee I met all day. When I entered the plane she seemed genuinely happy to greet me and I witnessed her deal with a situation with utmost patience that the veteran employees weren’t as compassionate with. A mom had a screaming young child on her lap prior to take-off. The mom was unable to get the over-tired young girl to calm down. The trainee flight attendant spoke to the mom in an empathetic way and explained to her that the child needed to be buckled before the pilots could pull the plane away. She asked how they could help and offered some suggestions.
