Room was a good size and was very clean on arrival. Typically, details of how to use wi-fi etc. were via a QR code on the door card wallet, which I didn't noice until I had worked out how to do it for myself. A room card with the details in various languages would have been a bonus. Staff were really friendly and very helpful; I had to call on them just after 11pm as we were unable to sleep due to delegates from a conference having quite the party in the bar; they had opened external doors and windows which was allowing the sound to travel, stopping us (and other guests) from sleeping...and I thought British drunks were noisy! Any way, the doors were quickly closed after my complaint and without any rioting on behalf of the revellers; another appreciated cultural difference. We had an evening meal in the Panorama Restaurant; waiting staff were lovely, meals were very good, served hot and without delay; if I was 12 again, I would have made full use of the all-you-can-eat soft ice cream services. Breakfast was quite unbeliveable, more food than we knew what to do with from sausages and bacon to a full cold meats selection; would go again just for the breakfast! LEGOLAND park has it's own covered walkway from the hotel, very useful for us as it was raining for most of our visit. Finally, even having checked earlier that day, the hotel staff were still happy to call a taxi for us and even gave my wife a 'birthday' badge when we left.

After a long drive & checking in just before 8PM. We were told that the Chef had gone hm & there was no food & the restaurant was closed. Yet all the staff were busy eating hot meals in the bar area. Our room was very dated & the bath rm was very shabby & didn't look clean! We asked if we could have another room. We were told by the Manager that it was a 2003 hotel & all the rooms were the same & that our Allocated rm was one of the best, as it had a terrace!

Staff was pleasant. Parking was a pain as we were hauling a trailer. The actual room looked like they haven’t renovated or washed the carpets in years. The bathroom had black “stuff” on the ceiling above the shower. Pillows were definitely old, flat and hard. Won’t be going back there.
