I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at RIU Palace Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Unfortunately, the condition of the resort and our accommodations fell far below what I expected from the RIU brand, particularly for a property marketed as an all-inclusive resort experience. Upon arrival, we were informed that we had been given a complimentary room upgrade. Naturally, we appreciated the gesture and expected the upgraded accommodations to enhance our stay. Unfortunately, what was presented as an “upgrade” ended up being one of the most disappointing aspects of our experience. The upgraded room had serious cleanliness and maintenance issues. We found a roach in the room, and the bedding had multiple strands of random hair on it, which immediately made us question whether the room and linens had been properly cleaned before our arrival. The bed itself was also extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The room simply did not feel clean, comfortable, or representative of an upgraded accommodation. Even more troubling, the toilet in our upgraded room did not function properly. In order to flush it, we had to remove the toilet seat/lid and manually push a button inside the toilet to refill the bowl with water before it would flush. This was not a minor inconvenience. Having to manually manipulate a toilet just to make it functional is completely unacceptable for any hotel room.

The staff are excellent , room are very clean and comfortable, I recommend all.

This property is amazing and well kept. This was an actual full resort, tucked away in total privacy. The staff was not only friendly but they were extremely helpful. The room and the resort was beautiful and spacious. The highlight was the beach and pool. The pool was amazing. It was so big and the beach was a few steps away. The property is huge but complimentary transportation is a phone call away. The restaurants were great too. I'm vegan and each restaurant that I visited catered to my needs. I will definitely be going back. ❤️

Everything was amazing on our trip to the Caribe Deluxe Princess. The only downside was the pushy vendors who would not leave you alone and the "not a time share" people on the resort. Neither of those are necessarily the resort's fault so I do not hold those against the resort. The staff was amazing and friendly. Flora in the main buffet was amazing!
