Have used this hotel in the past - I think about 6 other visits; it's our 'go-to' Chamonix hotel. Very clean, lovely helpful staff. Quaint style with well appointed rooms. Close to restaurants and shops and short walk to the bus stop. Can walk to the cable car station for the Brevent. It has other amenities that we have not yet tried like the spa and hot tub, restaurant (always have been too much on the go to hike). We will be back

AVOID: Did not have hot water in the shower for several days. Spoke to the front desk four times (to Manon and Natasha); each time, they told me they were aware of the problem, that a technician had come, and that the problem was fixed. We stayed in Chamonix because my husband ran the UTMB marathon: when he finished the marathon, he had a cold shower and shivered for hours. Hot water is a basic requirement of any hotel, and the problem was not fixed until the last morning of our stay. At check-out, I asked for a partial refund due to the persistent problem; the receptionist told me to send an email. I did so: no response at all from management. Unprofessional. Furthermore, the room was outdated and unclean (hair in bathroom, bed). One of our worst hotel experiences worldwide. Chamonix is beautiful — but stay elsewhere!
