Gulf Coast Mountain Vacations and Getaways

I previously enjoyed staying here for business, but bringing my family and granddaughter for a before school trip had many letdowns. S'mores kits for the many fire pits were out of stock and the scheduled movie night never happened because they couldn’t get the speaker to work. To make matters worse, the pool water was murky and opaque, looking neglected, while loud music blared unchecked from a guest's private speaker for hours. Too many disappointments for one weekend. The restaurant staff’s excellent service was the highlight.

We love The Grand Bohemian! Definitely our favorite place to stay in the Birmingham area. They have such a great location, food, and bar! Will definitely be staying again.

The hotel was dirty and smelly. While riding in the elevator smelly air freshener spritzed out into our hair and faces from above.The room was really disgusting. There were tons of little black hairs on the beds, in the bathroom, etc. The floors were dirty with puddles of water, food and dust all around the bed. The beds were old and uncomfortable. The air conditioner did not really cool the room. The bathtub had dirt all around it as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. The curtains were broken and wouldn't close so bright lights from the outside of the building kept our room as bright as day all night. We were traveling far , arrived really late, and only using it for one night otherwise I would have addressed it, however the gentleman checking us in and lady that checked us out we're not welcoming or friendly at all. They probably wouldn't have cared.
