Vacaciones para bucear en Holy Island

The room was clean. The decor was slightly tired, very little room for clothes, just a thin wardrobe. That said, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom excellent with a wonderful shower. Staff were friendly, helpful and were between them the highlight of our stay. Couldn’t ask for better. The bar served good wine, good beer (although they ran out of handpull) and the food was of a very high standard. To say compliments to the chef is an understatement. The hotel has lovely gardens worth a look round although on our three day visit, we were not allowed to go in them two days due to two weddings and the wedding guests get exclusive use of the gardens. I have to say that I was deflated once we had made a non refundable booking to get a message from the hotel saying there were weddings two out of our three nights but I can happily relate that other than garden access, the weddings were fully contained, did not affect bar or restaurant and we could not hear the music. Sharing with weddings is not an issue with this hotel.

Excellent and beautiful place, we only spent one night, but we were looking forward to returning. I recommend it.

Fantastic hotel, with fantastic food and fantastic staff

Great modern and well maintained hotel. Just mentioning in case the hotel staff read this. Only negative was the tray with kettle and tea/coffee/hot chocolate etc. was placed in a shelf without a power point. It was strange to have to lift the large tray and move it to the desk next to the power point. I relocated the hotel directory to a higher shelf.

Staff member entered dining room 5 times before asking about our breakfast order, started thinking we were invisible. Asked what gluten free hot food they had and was told toast.not very helpful.did manage to order breakfast minus 3 items in the end but they could have done better with their service. when checking out they didn't care either, didn't ask if everything was ok,they were halfway up the stairs with washing etc. restaurant next door had no gluten free menu,but did manage to order food,but thought was a bit expensive for basically a curry.2 staff members had to ask our drinks order as the 1st was in training and wasn't much use taking order.
