Bellarine Peninsula Ski Vacations

Ideally located for us as we were working at the MCEC, plus points are location, roomy apartment, full kitchen and washing machine with a seperate dryer. Unfavourable points are it is on the first floor, right opposite a busy railway line and tram stop, so a bit noisy, but it is in the city, so maybe you expect that. The rooms are big and light with great pillows and bedding, presentation is great, but neither room is incredibly private, one has bi fold doors with clear glass in them and ill fitting blinds to aid privacy whereas the other room has a big hole into the living area, again with an ill fitting blind, but sound from the sitting/dining area is in this room also as this hole in the wall is straight into the bedroom…. Strange setup. The biggest challenge for us though, was the sound of the plant room, probably for the lifts, which runs 24/7 and at night it is loud! I am pretty sure this apartment sits over the plant room as you can hear the pumps/motors running and stopping and to be fair, it kept us awake! In summary, great place to stay as a bunch of girls or couple of guys (mates) short term, but if it was 2 couples it would be challenging and you need some good ear plugs!

The Stamford Plaza was incredibly well priced for the brilliant location (right near Princess Theatre & Parliament House, on the Collins St tramline right to Southern Cross station), helpful service (looking after our bags before check-in & after we checked out) and gorgeous room with top class amenities. We had a beautiful, relaxing stay and would definitely stay there again next time we're in Melbourne.

Cool art deco hotel with theatre vibe , and awesome roof garden. Loved the free happy hour drinks which really facilitated meeting other guests. Excellent staff suggestions for places to eat / drink, including from Anna-Belle (Stagger Lee cafe, Fitzroy). Our Room was a King design overlooking the laneway - magic, romantic, cool glass bricked wall. Great location - we mainly walked around CBD , to Fitzroy area, easy tram to NGV. Highly rate.
