All of the attractions below are listed in order of their appearance in the video and will take you on a full loop of the very best destinations in the region.
(2:15 in the video) One of the first attractions to pencil in to your list of things to do in Transylvania is the Sibiu Council Tower. As you climb the stairs to the lookout, examine the intricate clock mechanism. When you reach the top, gaze out from the observation deck and see the city of Sibiu span out before you.
(2:31 in the video) As you step out from the Sibiu Council Tower, you will already be in your next itinerary destination. Welcome to Piata Mare, Sibiu’s central square. A great spot to kick off some local sightseeing, this square was once a small grain market, and today it is surrounded by some of the city’s best local cafés, shops and restaurants. This central area is also a great pick if you’re looking for places to stay.

Hunedoara Castle (or Corvin Castle) is a medieval treasure that has been wonderfully preserved since its construction in the 14th century. The forest is very close to the city of Cluj Napoca, which is home to Cluj-Napoca International Airport, the region’s largest airport.
