So, when we asked 1,500 people in relationships about their dream honeymoon, Paris rolled off their lips as naturally as a good night kiss. In all, 16% of respondents said they dream of a city adventure, while 54% of them also crave romantic activities. Additionally, 48% said they wanted to visit museums, art galleries, and shows, while 42% look forward to restaurants, bars, and dancing. Almost all said \u201coui\u201d to Paris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Paris<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located on the River Seine, Paris includes two islands \u2013 the \u00cele Saint-Louis and the larger \u00cele de la Cit\u00e9 which forms the oldest part of the city. Paris also includes several prominent hills, including its highest, Montmartre. The metropolitan area sprawls well beyond its city limits, creating an oval with arms to encompass 20 different arrondissements (neighborhoods) clearly marked on every street sign making it hard to get lost. So, taking a stroll is the best way to see the city although the metro is also easily accessible, even from Charles de Gaulle Airport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a mild climate year-round, Paris actually experiences more rainfall than London. Still, summer days are typically sunny and rarely spike beyond 80\u00b0 F, while winter temps seldom dip below 25\u00b0 F. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Euros are the official currency and it\u2019s always a good idea to have some on the ready for the inevitable stops at the numerous boulangerie and outdoor markets. While dining out, your bill will come \u201cservice compris\u201d (tip included),  but a little extra can make a French server\u2019s day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art and culture are literally everywhere you look. If there is just one museum you and your amour should visit, it is either Mus\u00e9e du Louvre<\/a>, Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Orsay<\/a>, or even the lesser-known ones like Le Mus\u00e9e Cognacq-Jay<\/a> or the Mus\u00e9e Marmottan Monet<\/a>. Just don\u2019t fret about narrowing it down\u2014as the French say, \u201cC’est bon, d\u00e9tends-toi,\u201d or \u201cIt’s OK, relax.\u201d It\u2019s your honeymoon, after all! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, no honeymoon is complete without an Instagrammed kiss in front of the Eiffel Tower. Afterward, have a picnic at the base or purchase tickets in advance<\/a> to see the City of Light from above in all her glory. Lovebirds will also love a romantic sunset dinner cruise <\/a>on the Seine, offering a 3-course meal and bottle of wine as you watch the city pass by. Or, take a short Metro ride to the Palace of Versailles and time travel back to an era of extravagant splendor. The grounds are extensive, so travelers recommend this bike tour<\/a>, which comes with a skip-the-line pass to enter the palace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where to eat<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If food is part of your love language, you\u2019re in the right place. And, when it comes to language, skip the joints with English menus. Instead head out to where the locals eat like Du Pain et des Id\u00e8es<\/a> for bread and pastries, or Chez Imog\u00e8ne<\/a> for cr\u00e8pes. Don\u2019t miss out on international cuisines either at places such as Yoom<\/a> for dim sum, and Pierre Sang<\/a>,  a perfect marriage of Parisian and Korean flavors. And, for Parisian haute cuisine without the hefty tab, head to Comice<\/a>. There are also several latest and greatest dining destinations to check out, including vegetarian favorite L\u2019Innocence<\/a> and the recently Michelin-starred Granite<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hide away at Saint James Paris<\/a>, the only chateau in the exclusive 16th district of the chic River Droite. Be sure to visit Guerlain Spa for a bit of pampering.<\/p>\n\n\n

Or, wake up to Eiffel tower views at Le Meurice<\/a>, an Expedia VIP Access hotel. This original palace hotel located in the heart of historic Paris opened in 1835 and recently unveiled its newly-restored 49 rooms, suites, and penthouse in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, if you prefer to be in the center of it all, look no further than Hotel Le Fouquet<\/a>, located on the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es and just a stone’s throw from the Arc de Triomphe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
