Weekend getaways in Syracuse

In all our travels we rarely come across a place which delivers on what we want most. Exceptional hospitality, quality of the room and common area, knowledgeable and courteous staff who has already anticipated the needs of a discriminating traveler.

The hotel is quite cool - looks unimpressive from the outside but inside the rooms are very modern and clean. We had 2 rooms on the top floor with skylights which had remote-controlled shades. We were given code access to get in - which was perfect as we arrived early and dropped our bags off. We were lucky to fin street parking just across the street from the hotel. The location was awesome. Right next to the bridge to Ortigia. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants near by. The staff...

We had an amazing time. Sabrina and Claudia were wonderful. The place is top notch in everything they do. The food was so fresh and delicious . I was sad when i had to leave them. High praise for this hotel. The views breath taking.

Lovely, storied, family run villa, particularly well situated for exploring the archeological park. Unique, period decor with modern amenities. Tasty breakfast and very pleasant staff - felt like home! Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Ubicación perfecta, a poca distancia de los puntos turísticos más importante a visitar, así como a corta distancia de numerosos restaurantes.

So the truth is we don’t end up staying. Not because the accommodations weren’t lovely and cleanly it was because I didn’t understand that. It wasn’t the whole apartment. It is just a room in the apartment. You do have people staying in the apartment with you as well in one room over just not enough privacy for us, unfortunately. If you’re looking for something like this, though, it would be perfect for you.

We were two couples. Our stay was very pleasant. Gaetano is an excellent host. He lived in Connecticut for many years, so he speaks English.

The Agilia Ortigia Charme Hotel is absolutely superb. Firstly, we were lost in Syracuse, but when we called the hotel to get some guidance, very nice man name Marchello gave us excellent directions and then met us outside the hotel which was a huge help after a long day of driving in Sicily. We absolutely loved Aretusa Vacanze! The room was very cozy and spacious. The owners were there every morning preparing breakfast, and the rest of the family helped manage the B&B beautifully. We especially appreciated Stefano’s dinner recommendations.
