Description

Experience ‘SCOTLAND IN A DAY’ with fascinating historical tales of Heroes, Queens and Kings, the jaw-dropping scenery of the Trossachs, Glencoe and Ben Nevis, and Monster Spotting at Loch Ness - all washed down with a ‘dram’ of our beloved Scotch Whisky! The ONLY 1-Day tour from Edinburgh to Loch Ness and the Highlands which also visits a Whisky-Distillery. This tour is perfect to get a sample of the extraordinary wilderness of the Scottish Highlands, and see ‘Scotland in 1 Day’.

Departing from Edinburgh's historic Lawnmarket, your Guide will inspire you with tales of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce as you drive passed Stirling Castle before arriving at Deanston Whisky-Distillery. You’ll have the option of taking an intriguing 30-minute tour here with a whisky-tasting afterwards.

We travel into the spectacular Highlands and you will discover the beauty of the Trossachs, Glencoe and Ben Nevis, as well as the fascinating history of the Clans that once populated this region. Enjoy lunch in the picturesque village of Fort Augustus, where you will have the option of taking an hour-long boat cruise on Loch Ness. Will you spot Nessie! Alternatively, stroll along the banks of the Caledonian Canal and explore the quaint local shops and pubs.

Our return journey takes us through the Cairngorm National Park, with a stop in the charming town of Pitlochry, before passing the magnificent Forth Bridges as we return to Edinburgh.

Great all day trip. Our driver/guide Michael was fantastic. His stories and knowledge of the highland history made the day fun.

Great tour! Rose was a great storyteller, a real Scottish treasure. It’s a long day, but the miles fly by with the running commentary. Plan on paying more for the whiskey tasting and boat ride on Loch Ness.
